Football Transfers Thread

I'd rather not see Rooney leave - he's an established player at Man Utd and you know what you'll get from him: around 20 goals, and an endless workrate. If he does go however, it would be a disastrous move to sell him to a key rival such as Chelsea. For me, that would be even worse than Van Persie to Utd because Arsenal weren't really selling to a rival for their position in the league (let's face it they were never in with a chance of the title last season). To sell to a clear title rival would be very daft indeed.

For his own personal stake (forget what United want) he has to leave them this season. Reading between the lines with all the rumors we where hearing all last season, this certainly dates back to Rooney handing in his 1st transfer request 2 seasons ago.

This has always been Ferguson's revenge. Rooney is still a top player, he has been scoring goals for fun for England in 2012/13. That goal in Brazil was one of the best international goals he has scored. But he hasn't been the same for United?. Why so because for once the old Ferguson wasn't making a molehill about his form/performances behind the scenes (a basis smokescreen to the real revenge motive) & Rooney being a top player just ain't willing to take that crap from the old man or anyone in the United hierarchy who may be questioning him.

That looks to be true enough. Now we're close to a defender & Suarez. :D

Perhaps you have a point; Rooney needs to get away from Utd for that reason, but not to Chelsea or Man City. We'd be shooting ourselves in the foot big time.

Says the man who moved to PSG for $$$? How rich of him..

He took a page in a newspaper to thank Napoli fans, that's a bit classy enough.
