Zouma is a young player with potential. So he's not going to make anything out of himself with Chelsea, at best he'll make it big with another team like Courtois, I can't see him getting the required game time there and the required development from Mourinho.

Up there with Varane, Marquinhos and Nastasic as far as very young centre-backs with potential go, and yeah, he'll develop on loan primarily, like Lukaku and Courtois.

He is far more raw than any of the names you mentioned, nowhere near any of them. Varane and Nastasic especially have done it in bigger leagues for bigger teams.

Yep, remains to be seen if either of them will ever make it at Chelsea and the same can be said of Zouma. Young players and Chelsea don't mix. Even really good ones like Courtois and Lukaku.

Recently had a long ban for breaking another player's leg, he definitely does make some reckless tackles and that is something he has to iron out.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos.....

Sorry - Toni Kroos.

No Utd signings today by the sound of things - Kroos seems to want to weigh up his options again after the World Cup, which is understandable in case he doesn't settle in at Utd for some reason. I'm sure we'll return for him in the summer if he still wants to leave. It's a bit disappointing - if we'd got Kroos, I reckon that would almost make up for the summer's farcical attempts to sign a top player. I've been watching plenty of clips of Kroos and he seems to have it all.

Some strange rumours about Townsend as well - which could work - a swap or player+cash (Nani, whose time at Utd seems to be up and Spurs are interested in him) but I reckon they're just that: rumours.

I think man u would have done well to get a defender in the window. they are certainly going to need to bring in more than one to really be competitive and introducing 2-3 defenders in one go could be disasterous, especially as De Gea, for all his improvements, is still not managing them like Schmeichel or Van der Saar did.

Yep. De Gea seems reasonably solid and his shot-stopping is world class but every now and then he drops a clanger like he did the other day vs Sunderland.

Yorke... 'We' signed Juan Mata... Utd 'til you die eh Yorkie? :D

seems to me Moyes wants to get his newly found revolution off to a new level, and quickly. But it's absurd to hear he may have tried and thankfully failed in getting Chicharito and Nani out today but I can't see why he'd try to do that with hindsight to recent injuries which led to ultimately - dropping costly points.

Really good deal for Cardiff and Solskjaer pulled off a nice coup to survive the drop, and February looks good for them. Happy for the duo fabio and zaha. Shouldn't be too different from man utd for them cos at this point because Cardiff are more or less a feeder club. ;)

Hello...

SS have just said that Utd might be doing a last bit of business after all. A U-turn by Kroos? Townsend from Spurs? Or some unknown seventeen year old? :D

Gotta love transfer deadline day!

Nope - just outgoings.

A 'bumper' summer promised...
