Football Transfers Thread

Yeah, it would be nice to have some really high quality known players but this bunch play very well with each other and that is what matters.

Now, before I post here again, I want you to know that I don't care if you don't think I'm a true fan as long as I know I am. I may be Indian, but I will support Liverpool for life.

Liverpool have made a very good buy in Fernando Torres, and his goal is to improve his average goals per season at Atletico Madrid, which was roughly 15. But Rafa has made it clear that he would rather have 3 players netting more than 15 rather than that one player scoring more than 20 as he feels it will propel them into a higher position in the league table. Voronin is also a good buy as he can play more than one role as a striker as he did at Bayer Leverkusen.

I can't help but feel Rafa will sell Mark Gonzalez. Even if he doesn't, Gonzalez is far too injury prone and Kewell isn't an adequate replacement. This is why I feel, Liverpool need an LM to strengthen their attacks coming from the left flank.

Torres did cost 20mil didn't he?
Before it happened the figure was said to be around 27,il but the actual figure was 20mil i think.

ok lol get rid of Vidic and put him in a free role :p Obviously we wil have to accomodate Rodrigo Pereira Possebom because he's another signing apparently! Meant to be like Keano so we can have a Brazillian scholes and keane in 10 years with Anderson and him.

Who??

Exactly the same thing all the united fans are saying, theirs a load of articles about it in Portugese and i found one in English (can't remember where). He had a proper wikipedia but now someone off a united forum has mucked it up a bit for a laugh

26.5 million was the final price. There were several bids from other teams as well between 20-25 million.

Jose Antonio Reyes is set to make his move to Real Madrid permanent for a fee of around 3.5 million pounds. This was necessary because he has a habit of scoring crucial goals for us.

Real apparently have also convinced Chivu to accept a new contract although the Romanian seems keen on going to Inter (who have made the best contract offer). Trouble is Real have made the highest bid in terms of transfer fee and Inter are not willing to match that.

Calderon although finally admitted that signing Kaka is unlikely. And it is very possible that Saviola will be unveiled as a Real Madrid player this week.

Chelsea have agreed a fee for Malouda, seems Robben will be on his way then. Robbens a better player imo but Maloudas still a good signing, the best one yet but can't see him bridging the gap when it comes to the title, especially considering Chelsea don't even play with wingers that often

Chelsea had the players to match United last season as well. Just that we dint play well enough. And with those injuries to our defence and goalkeeping departments hurt us even more and exposed our lack of depth as well. Hopefully Ben Haim will succeed where Boulahrouz failed miserably. Apart from that Chelsea are good and strong in every department. Malouda will be another option for Jose.

I think its a good move especially if we are looking to do well in Europe.

Arsenal have gambled on Da Silva and I don't think it will pay off.
Almost any striker could score as many goals as him in that poor Croation league, even most Championship strikers would be able to score loads in that league.

Do you watch the Croatian league week in, week out? Or are you assuming that just becaus ehe plays in a slightly obscure league he's a poor player?

Yeah, thats what I thought.

His international record, whilst short is brilliant. Don't write off a player you have barely ever seen. Also, don't make silly assumptions.

Chelsea had the players last year but we've strengthened. We've got Nani, We've got Anderson, we've got Hargreaves and will soon be getting Tevez :D I didn't think Boulahrouz did that badly last year, just had a bad game V Spurs where he got destroyed by Lennon and lost his way after that.

Personally I think you'll wint he league this year.

Although Tevez is going to have to brilliant for what your supposedly paying Joarbichan.

It's too complicated :p Some papers say we're paying 80 million some say 50, some say Brentford are going to come in and sign him on a free, who knows?!

The more reliable sources are reporting;
£20 Million for a 2-year loan deal. Then £40 million to buy him outright from Jorbichan at the end of the two year loan.
