FTP: From the Pavilion general chat

Going to field an all youth lineup apart from O'Leary in my T20 match this week since I'm playing the top of the table team who I have no chance of beating.

Lineup:

1. Craig Crane
2. Ruben Mol
3. Aidan O'Leary
4. Victor Omara
5. Cameron Peters
6. Lars van der Hoeven (wk)
7. Aladdin Yousif
8. Ciaran Fitzgerald
9. Reinier Harms
10. Frank Bollinger
11. Marcel Lansing

So hard trying to field that lineup. I had to make too many bloody decisions regarding experience. Was trying to fit in my 16 yo's, my players that need experience guys and future NAT guys. Very tough to choose.

A good victory in my friendly against a lower rated opposition (98k) :p, my skipper finally came good with an aggressive 91. Hope he isn't just a flat track bully. Ohh and its my best SOD ratings to date. :D

[T20] Iridium XI 53 for 0 (Lindsay 45*, Powell 8*) beat Copster Green Champions 52 (Jacobson 18, van Dalen 3-6, Trethewey 3-12, Frylinck 2-7) by 10 wickets
Scorecard

Easy win to keep my unbeaten streak going in my T20 league; 12 from 12. So unless I do an Iridium in my last two games, I'll be promoting in T20.

lol I wasted the guy that I drew with last time. Sent out my strongest squad except with De Zeeuw as captain instead of Tindall (so he doesn't get too tired)

----------

Also had 9544 attending the match. It was at his place but still that's heaps.

----------

oh and I also played Curtin

Found this in my game:

5.1 6 Griffiths to de Zeeuw : That's a big one! de Zeeuw has advanced down the pitch and hit it straight over Griffiths for six. The ball has landed 20 rows back! Cracking shot!
5.2 4 Griffiths to de Zeeuw : Examining the field before the ball came down at him pays off for de Zeeuw as he watches the ball skid off the face of his bat and slam into the advertising hoardings. Four runs.
5.3 6 Griffiths to de Zeeuw : That's gone like a tracer bullet over the fence at extra cover.
5.4 4 Griffiths to de Zeeuw : Crrrrrrrrrrrrrrunched! That's set off to the boundary at a million miles an hour, crashing into the advertising boards. This one has a huge dent in it. Powerful shot!
5.5 4 Griffiths to de Zeeuw : [misfield] Looks like Goggin doesn't want to get his cricket whites dirty! A terrible attempt at a sliding save and Griffiths gets four more added against his name.
5.6 4 Griffiths to de Zeeuw : [misfield] Decent shot by de Zeeuw, but made to look fantastic by some poor fielding on the boundary by Goggin who has given away a four! Griffiths looks annoyed and so he should. 2 runs given away there.
End of over 6 (28 runs) - Chewie CC(78-1) RR 13.00
J. de Zeeuw 49 (20b), C. De Burgh 5 (5b) , J. Griffiths 1-0-28-0

Record? :D

Nearly a hattrick too for Tindall:

19.2 W Tindall to Craig : [catch] A lofted drive goes straight into the hands of mid-off. Gilmour takes the catch comfortably and that's the end for Craig. He is quite unhappy with himself.
H. Craig c D. Gilmour b. F. Tindall 2 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:40.00
19.3 W Tindall to Engelsman : Flat delivery on the middle off stump line. Engelsman comes down the track, looking to drive it away through cover. The ball clips the edge and flies low towards Van Buuren at first slip and he takes it diving across to his right.
S. Engelsman c B. Van Buuren b. F. Tindall 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
19.4 . Tindall to Clay : The thinnest edge through to O'Keeffe, and he's out! Or is he? Clay stands his ground, and the umpire stands motionless. Tindall is not a happy chappy.

Got dominated today. They scored 200 and then got bowled out for 119, although I was 1/85 at one stage before Mol got out for 28 off 30 and then O'Leary got out for 59 off 34. My bottom 7 batsman only scored 9 runs between them with 4 ducks and 2 1's. Omara made 17* as well but lost all his partners.

And my cent percent record stays intact in the t20s.

Liverpool Lightnings (104-2, 8.5 overs) beat Red Star CC (103-8, 20 overs) by 8 wickets.

lol this happened in the first over of my match:

0.3 W T. Lindeman to Buttler : Short ball, outside off stump which Buttler tries to upper cut over the slips, but only succeeds in gifting a faint edge through to Stanford who does the rest.
C. Buttler c J. Stanford b. T. Lindeman 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
0.4 W T. Lindeman to Sullivan : Sullivan comes down the pitch and smacks it for...wait he's out! Played all around it!
L. Sullivan b. T. Lindeman 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
0.5 lb T. Lindeman to Harenc : An edge onto the pad rolls out to a vacant backward square leg. Harenc feels robbed as the umpire signals leg byes.
0.6 W T. Lindeman to Labelle : [catch] T. Lindeman strikes! It was outside the off stump, Labelle a bit lazy with the drive through the off side, gets the edge through to Stanford behind the wicket, who takes the catch at a comfortable height.
A. Labelle c J. Stanford b. T. Lindeman 1 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:50.00

Go Lindeman Jnr!! He ended up with his first Pfeiffer as we bowled them out for 119, and chased it down for the loss of no wickets after 13.3 overs.

Almost a hattrick :p

[YOD] Iridium XI 181 for 5 (Allen 65*, Thompson 39, Kamphuis 4-52) beat The Middle Stump 180 for 7 (Chapman 55*, Loxton 51, Juffermans 3-19, Pfaff 3-46) by 5 wickets

Not much to say. Bowlers were good, kept the runs at bay and restricted them to 180 before my batsmen chased them down for the loss of 5 wickets. Still and second on the table and the other team competing for second place lost their match today which is good news.

Just looked at my twenty20 match from yesterday and for the second time in a row my oppent did an Iridum

The Strongbows: 117,108
Winners or Losers: 94,402

Over at my youth match my captain Leodegrance Elliot hit a wonderful 182 from only 118 balls. But the score at the momet is North Melbourne Cricket Club 6-56 from 18 overs at a required run rate of 12.45. This match will see me promote to divison 5

If you're making them do Iridium's that a very good sign :thumbs

Well I lost Crane and O'Keeffe early for 4 and 7 respectively and Young got out soon after for 24 but Omara and Mol put on a good partnership before Omara was dismissed for 55 but Mol and van der Hoeven then smashed the bowlers, as Mol hit 103 off 61 (his first youth century as well and now passes 1000 youth runs), while van der Hoeven smashed 114* off 70 balls and Harms finished the innings with 36* off 15.

I then bowled them out for 13 in only 8 overs. Healy took career best figures of .6/7 and Bollinger took 4/6, both from 4 overs. That also makes Healy the second highest club wicket taker with 61 wickets, behind Whiteman with 62 so he'll easily pass him.

Top Club Youth Wicket Takers:

1. Andrew Whiteman - 42 matches, 62 wickets @ 21.1
2. Barry Healy - 31 matches, 61 wickets @ 19.33
3. Aravinda Habeebullaah - 40 matches, 59 wickets @ 24.15
4. David Gamble - 28 matches, 50 wickets @ 16.98
5. Ariyapala Baddewithana - 34 matches, 47 wickets @ 23.68
6. Agasti Reshma - 26 matches, 46 wickets @ 23
7. Frank Bollinger - 18 matches, 42 wickets @ 13.81
8. Mason Reed - 36 matches, 41 wickets @ 32.88

My next best current youth bowler is Mo Bol with 28 wickets @ 33.61.

lol, Healy and Bollinger this season have both taken 31 wickets @ 11.1.

In the ODI's, Kris has pilled up runs for club but Anton Dec has been Bradmansque. He's reached 1000 runs in just 13 matches only with 5 matches and 2 half centuries. Lesroy "The Freak" Christopher and Kris both have been consistent in both forms of the game. But Lesroy is the only player to have scored more than 1000 runs in both ODI's and T20's. :clap
