I hardly see a score above 300 in my SOD league now. Scores decrease so much when you move up leagues because bowlers get so much better

That was the case with my keeper, Campbell. Spent around 80k on him and he did jack all in his first season. This season however, he's been one of my best players. Persist and he may turn out alright.

$335k in prizemoney. I came 1st in T20, 1st in Youth and 6th in OD so I'm in division 3 for all three - 3.3 SOD, 3.4 T20 and 3.4 YOD. I'm also getting at least 80k in sales from my player that were 19 and from De Burgh.

Senior wages will be $125731 and youth wages are $17601, giving a total of $143332. That's only $3488 more than last season and my sponsorship should increase by about that much as well. Gate takings should increase though and I have pavilion cup to start the season off so I should stay in positive the whole season.
I am looking to buy a new player or two however...

Looking at the divisions, I'm gonna do pretty badly in T20 (prediction 6th), pretty decently in YOD (prediction 3rd) and alright in SOD (prediction 4th). In the Pavilion Cup I have the 626 ranked player first up If I win that then I have a 1800+ opponent the next round, before playing number 244. I might try and win the first game, then play my youth team and then give up.

Match engine change - dynamic weightings of wickets
This change, which was implemented some time ago in friendlies, will be implemented for all matches after the U19 world cup

The rate at which batsman score will be more affected by the number of wickets that have fallen and what remains based on the skill of the batsmen remaining. Before it was based on what position they were.

Catches, stumpings and runouts
At the moment, two thirds of catches, stumpings and runout chances need to pass a fielding/keeping skill check to be converted into a wicket, with the remaining one third automatically resulting in a wicket.
Starting next season, For friendly matches only, all catch, stumping and runout chances will need to pass the fielding/keeping check to be converted into a wicket .

Looks like you guys might need to start training your fielding a bit more

To be implemented at the end of next season

Prizemoney
End of season prizemoney will be halved. The difference will be made up by an increase in weekly sponsorship levels.
This is aimed at making it a bit easier for teams to manage their finances during the season.

This will be very useful for teams like Iridium, AP and I who tend to lose money each week. I only wish it would come sooner It would allow me to make a profit each week and invest a bit more in my academies.

Other items on the agenda

World cup qualification
The next senior world cup, at the end of next season, is likely to be the last world cup involving all 18 teams.
A qualification process will be introduced, whereby the top 12 teams in the qualification stage will be entered into the world cup.
Further details will be provided when the changes are finalised.

Nat team rankings
Will be split into two separate rankings, one for T20 and the other for One Day matches

T20 world cup
I'm considering introducing a T20 world cup for both seniors and U19 nat teams.

Disparity of [misfield]/[great fielding] events
I'll be looking at implementing an 'evening out' process so the number of these events that appear during a match arent quite so wildly variable. At the moment, there are matches in which one team has 3 or 4 times as many fielding checks happening than the other side, which is possibly a little too 'random'.

Wages at EOS time
Possibly not charge wages during the one week off season, given EOS prizemoney is being halved and teams receive no gate takings during the off season

USA and Netherlands Leagues
Assuming the game continues to grow gradually, I'll be looking at opening up leagues in USA (matches starting at 16:00) and Netherlands (12:00), but not before the end of next season at the earliest.

Doesn't really affect us too much. No wages at EOS will be very useful though to match with the less prizemoney. USA and Netherlands leagues could be interesting. I don't think I'd move though, NZ still gets everything first and I'm doing pretty well at the moment

Only got $287k in prizemoney. Player wages for me seem to have gone down by $12k. That can't be right.....

I'll be on the lookout for good young players to eventually replace my older seniors. Just got to fire 2 of the 3 youths who came into the senior side.

I managed to get seeded in the Pav Cup, a mighty 489th . I got a 1233 place team, and if I win, I'll be up against another 1000+ team but then eventually have to face the 24th seed. So I'll have to wait and see whether I'll be throwing my matches.

No you're right my bad. I just sackkaged another player so that takes 2k off. So wages have gone up around $2800. Not bad.

Yea, I reckon. That player is rubbish. I might actually look around for a good youth player. My senior side is pretty settled, they'll last me another 2 season so I may as well focus a bit more attention on my youths.
