Yeah, you have to post around the forums more and get involved in the Zimbabwe community. I don't see you getting anywhere near getting the NAT position this season but I'd be going to the Zimbabwe offsite forums, signing up there and just getting involved. That's pretty much how I got the spot of Netherlands U19 assistant manager in a very successful campaign.
Anyway, Yousif just got called up for the UAE NAT squad
lol you're going to completely own them. I'd give as much game time as you can to any promising youths you have because you're going to win anyway so you may as well give them experience. That's provided you actually have some promising youth players
I played two youth players and my backup senior player in my match today because I knew my opponent had a low rating. Very nearly backfired as I won by 3 wickets with 4 or so overs remaining. I batted pretty low but there was some nervous moments in there.
Finally i managed to struck a balance between the player wages and Income. I have to sell one 31 year old player. Now i earn around 180K and spend 163K. I could finish in the top in all of the divisions except SOD where another team is rated higher than me.
A very satisfying win today, it was fantastic really.
O'Keeffe was brilliant in his 154 out of team total of 299. He first anchored the innings when wickets were falling and then slogged it hard to get past 150 and taking team to nearly 300 after they were going at 4 or something for 40 overs. Brilliant innings.
After that Mackenzie picked up 5 wickets, expected on a crumbling pitch. Beat them by 129 runs and I outrated them by only 7k.
Nice win by 8 wickets over my 82k rated opposition. Bowled them out for 82 on a green pitch and chased it in 15 overs. But guess what? Van Buuren made a second ball duck.
Well Bollinger's NAT U19 friendly debut was a bit of an unexpected one as he made 48* batting at 8 off 58 deliveries to get Australia up to a total of 282/8 but then got hammered with the ball, taking 1/74 off 10 overs. Didn't help that it was a flat pitch and that the long batting innings would have really tired him. But I'm happy with that performance
Except for an increase in leadership skills, is experience really that important for a player? I feel its a bit overrated here. I really hope I'm wrong.
Edit: Never mind, I've rested all but 2 of my seniors and have pretty much fielded a second string XI.
