Very very close game... Hard luck this time but best luck for the next time... :p:D:D

End of over 42 (10 runs) - Hedger's Team(355-0) RR 8.45
J. Fiebig 181 (140b) , M. Elgin 165 (117b) , M. Salpietro 6-0-65-0

Fiebig and Elgin are both looking for double centuries. Fiebig's highest score before this was 178 and Elgin's is 212 so he has already hit a double century. But 350 runs for an opening partnership in One Day cricket is very good.

End of over 50 (9 runs) - Hedger's Team(459-0) RR 9.18
J. Fiebig 242 (167b) , M. Elgin 208 (138b) , M. Salpietro 10-0-108-0

That is one massive total. My highest total ever and Fiebig had just beaten the highest Individual score for us with his 242*. I should easily defend this. That will definately improve both Fiebig's and Elgin's OD batting average.

I have increased the run rate thanks to Taafe's 39 from 17 balls. He hit 4 sixes.

7.2 6 Fitzpatrick to Taaffe : Bang. Out of the middle and out of the ground, 6 runs

8.2 6 Sumanasekara to Taaffe : Sumanasekara bowls a lollipop and Taaffe rocks back and gives it the full treatment. Six runs!

9.2 6 Dedunu to Taaffe : That's a good example of how to take a catch, but unfortunately for the bowling team, a member of the crowd was the one taking it - SIX into the crowd.

9.6 6 Dedunu to Taaffe : Shot! Arches his back and flays a short ball ferociously over deep backward point for six!

Current Total:

End of over 14 (9 runs) - Hedger's Team(115-3) RR 8.21
M. Oldroyd 2 (4b) , Z. Ali 43 (43b) , A. Sumanasekara 3-0-32-1

After making 228/1 from our 20 over's thanks to Ali and Byrne centuries, I take 4 wickets in the first over.

End of over 1 (1 run) - Scotland Wombats(1-4). 228 runs required from 19 overs. RR 1.00 RRR 12.00
G. Muir 0 (0b) , G. Milne 1 (1b) , B. Kwistel 1-0-1-4
0.6 W Kwistel to McKenzie : [catch] That ball shapes away, catches the edge and Ali takes it at first slip. McKenzie starts the slow and lonely walk back to the pavilion.
G. McKenzie c Z. Ali b. B. Kwistel 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

0.5 1 Kwistel to Milne : Driven well and despite it going straight to Tindall he had little chance of a run out there.
A hattrick for Kwistel!
0.4 W Kwistel to Martin : In the zone outside the off stump, from a length and Martin seems to be in trance and just pokes at it. Fatal edge. He slams his bat into his pads as he walks off, furious with himself. He's really marching back to the pavilion now.
G. Martin c M. Oldroyd b. B. Kwistel 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
0.3 W Kwistel to Young : Full in length, slanting away from Young and his tame prod nestles safely in the hands of second slip.
R. Young c G. Hele b. B. Kwistel 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
0.2 W Kwistel to Milne : A lofted drive goes straight into the hands of mid-off. Ali takes the catch comfortably and that's the end for Milne. He is quite unhappy with himself.
F. Milne c Z. Ali b. B. Kwistel 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

0.1 . Kwistel to Milne : Fired wide outside off by Kwistel. Milne misses it, and looks expectantly at the umpire, who does not flinch. If Milne had stood his ground instead of backing away, he would have been able to reach it just fine. Smart bowling.

So far, bowling figures are:

Kwistel 2-1-1-4 (4 wickets for 1 run. What a match )
Hele 2-1-1-1 (1 wicket for 1 run from 2 over's. Nice tidy first spell)
Tindall 2-1-5-2 (2 wickets for 5 runs from 2 over's. His first over was a double wicket maiden)
Muddle 2-1-9-1 (After being hit for 9 off his first over, he comes back with a wicket maiden)
