And that is why for nearly a year I have been saying just tie him off his Captaincy duties and let him prosper in what he actually does the best. He just doesn't seem to have any body language of being a Captaincy.[DOUBLEPOST=1589116235][/DOUBLEPOST]It still amazes me that arguably England's best batting prospect since the post-war era legends, Joe Root has been perhaps mismanaged with the additional burden of captaincy. Even after his extended slump, his numbers are good enough to rank him a level below those legends. Imagine how good he could have been if he had been managed better with regards to the captaincy and his workload. Root's game to me depends on him maneuvering the field in a more unconventional manner in comparison to someone like Steve Smith himself who despite his more unorthodox style scores in the more usual areas. This is perhaps why he has been so successful in ODIs despite the lack of strengths that his more aggressive teammates possess. It is virtually impossible to tie him down with a field and bowling plan as he is inevitably gonna rotate the strike with ease. Combine that with the luxury of hitters that this English side can afford and it easy to see why they won the World Cup last year.
Doesn't it look like they are overly optimistic ?Very interesting article about how England is looking towards hosting Pakistan and West Indies this summer, despite the pandemic.

To some extent yes, but they have to do something. They just can't let themselves suffer a loss of £380 Million.[DOUBLEPOST=1589116235][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ignore them buddy too much of negativity in social media these days better to filter out Pages as per your liking... believe me it works like a charm (I wasted a lot of my years fighting these meaningless & nonsense thrash in Twitter,FB etc. regarding politics, sports etc.) which ended up me getting depressed. With all the respect in the world to my Indian brothers on PC, the inferiority complex of most Indian fans on social media is stunning. Always bragging about how rich the BCCI is and how good they are at bullying the smaller boards.
Spare me responses about my nationality, because i'd say the same thing if i was from Zimbabwe or Australia.
You’re so right.Ignore them buddy too much of negativity in social media these days better to filter out Pages as per your liking... believe me it works like a charm (I wasted a lot of my years fighting these meaningless & nonsense thrash in Twitter,FB etc. regarding politics, sports etc.) which ended up me getting depressed.
Life has been sailing smoothly ever since you ignore these shithead trolls etc.
