General Cricket Discussion

You are basing this on innings' Cook played years ago. He is a different batsmen who shouldn't be labelled as being 'slow'. He can score at quicker than a run a ball by playing his natural game and could well be England's best ODI batsmen over the next few years.

As for his captaincy abilities, it is early days, but I believe he knows enough to keep control of the team and make the right decisions on the field.

Cook, Trott, Bell and Bopara

Bopara isn't in the team although is a much more specialised one day player (not sure how he'd make the team look like a test team.) Trott averages over 50. Bell's meh. And Cook's been scoring at a run a ball averaging something ridiculous at the moment.

Additionally stop being a tool.

Another rude statement from an Eng. supporter. Personal attacks in this forum are made only by Eng supporters. Seems like they cannot take the fact their ODI squad is too bad, Test squad is over rated and board is not in control of the game anymore :lol

Avg. run a ball as opener in ODI would have been enough 10 years back. In most games he does not even do that. Bopara is in the team but not playing 11. Trott and Bell do play like test match players :lol

Around here is where you started becoming quite annoying IMO:
