General Cricket Discussion

Ah, that's a shame. Being forced out due to an unexpected injury.

And to much disappointment, he ends with 999 dismissals to his name in international cricket.

Tatenda Taibu of Zimbabwe has retired as well. He was only 29 joining the likes of former team mate Henry Olonga who, as far as I know, retired when he was just 25.

That said, has Kevin Pietersen really done a Shahid Afridi? I read somewhere that he has reverted his retirement and wants to play T20I world cup as well.

KP has always said he wants to play T20 cricket for England. It's the ECB who say you have to be available for both short forms or neither. Board policy.

They had Raqibul.

raqibul could be in the main team, seems to always play well when he has a point to prove and then goes off the boil. if someone could slap some competitive spirit into him I think he'd be handy player in all formats.

^ Yes, you are right but I guess he was fed up with the amount of injuries he faced throughout his career which first led him to call off the longer format and now all forms of game.
