General Questions Thread

I'm just saying, in terms of the home games you mentioned, you would probably have to downscale the expansion to get it done in time. You will need to expand at some point, but it's not worth having to do it twice in a season.

Ok. Don't think it is extremely important now, just making sure that I was doing the right thing.

How many games would you keep trying a batter in a certain position before it's a case of him not being made for that spot? Against 2 div 4 teams and a bot my prof trainee has got a 2nd ball, 1st ball and 2nd ball duck as opener. I'm really hoping it's just a case of his skill level as I really want him to be the opener.

Well I have a theory with this, Rujul Nayar my batting trainee has batted against teams with better bowling than he is and opened sucessfully but SLOW!, so i think if they stay in for a decent amount of time they can b suited to that position

Looking at Crouch it doesnt look like hes an opener but aggressive batsmen arent generally the best option to open anyway depending on your strategy

I pretty much need an aggressive player in the top order. Chav is steady and Sawyer defensive, so Crouch fits in there perfectly being destructive.

It's probably just skill level, trainee fatigue doesn't help either and match orders are finicky. I often open with a crap batsman because it's so likely for a wicket to fall early.

Hope so, I've seen a few teams with a destructive opener with them destroying attacks so I wouldn't mind that. The risk with playing a crap batter at the top is if they don't get out and are going at snails pace when you are chasing 280 odd then you're in trouble. Who knows though still got a number of seasons before his skill level is good enough to make an accurate judge on his position.

Nah, the batsman has to be really crap to work, like, not one of your specialists. The funny thing is that I really seem to be getting more out of him, perhaps proof that the BT engine rapes lower orders unrealistically.

I'm not too sure how the tables work? There are 3 lines there in the OD league. Which group corresponds to what happens?

Cheers

All I know is that the one above the top line gets promotion/play-off, and the two below the bottom line get promotion/play-off. Not sure about the other ones lurking in between though.

I only have two PR Officers at the moment. Should I hire some more because they might be working too hard :D

Lol I noticed the other day i hadnt fixed that up in a long time, more profit coming my way now for sure lol
