General Racing Games

Not tonight mate, by the time you get on my old live mate will be on and he'll want to play Uno with a few friends. I'll definetly give you a game tommorow though, gives me a chance to improve aswell :p

Forza is the god of a game. I've just pimped my VW Golf Gti with full engine upgrades and full handling upgrades, aswell as racing tires, and it now has an astonishing 532bhp. The golf vs civic cup was quite fun ;p. Man i love this game.

I've recently got into rallying games in a big way and I've decided to get myself a wheel, as I reckon I'll be playing them often enough to warrant a purchase now. This one:

is only around £20 and is one of PC Gamer's recommended. It seems to have decent reviews around the net as well. Has anyone here got this one or used it at all? I can get my local shop to order one in and if it breaks there's a 12 month warranty (by the shop as well as the maker, so returns won't be a hassle). And if it lasts 12 months, it should be ok for quite a while, that's my experience with other PC peripherals and controllers.

Boredom struck so I entertained myself, nothing special:

Might have to turn the volume up as it's very quiet.

Nice to see you enjoying it, I found the season mode really repetative. It felt as if it was justl; race, race, race, race....etc etc. But I guess thats the whole point just felt to plain in this game.

Normally on Gran Turismo it felt really interesting dunno why though, I might give this game another go though still a class game probably going to try and get into it aswell.

I've decided against that one now and will probably go for a Logitech. Has anyone here got one with a lap attachment and if so, what's that like? Does it shift around on your lap too much, or is it ok?

Is Race07 good I'm thinking of buying it, I want a good tourning car game...

I bought it, played it for about a week and never used it again. (Thanks stevie :p)

A better option would be to get rfactor then download the BTWC and WTCC mods.

It would have to be rFactor with the WTCC mod and BTWC mod, above all that there are enough other mods to cater for probably every other type of racing you can imagine.

Make no mistake, it's a good game, but I agree with Kev and Justin. All the cars from the game have been converted to rFactor, as have the tracks and with rFactor there is loads and loads of addons. Just take a took at rFactor Central and you'll see how much is available! I think Kev may finally be convinced to buy it as well. :p
