Oh indeed it is good. And graphically, its very pretty to boot, I just prefered the race conversion for gtr2. Suited my driving style better. I found the forcefeedback a little flakey in race07.

Wow this GTR2 game looks pretty nice, what does GTR stand for? Anyway I dowloaded some rFactor MP Test demo and played it but didn't like it, I couldnt use my 360 controller (not properly anyway) and I didn't like the view, isnt there a view where you can go behind the car like the default view in most racing games.

I'm downloading GTR2 demo atm looking forward to it!

I've read somewhere that the rfactor demo doesn't do the game justice. There are different camera angles in the game and I think you should be able to use your 360 controller ok, as stevie uses a 360 racing wheel I think. GTR2,rfactor and Race07 all run pretty much the same game engine so all are similar, most mods available for rfactor. GTR stands for Grand Touring Racing.

Yes as Kev said they all run on a slight variation of the ISI engine, so there isn't really a big difference between them. As far as I can remember in my rF demo I could use the BMW Sauber F1 car, and in all the views, but what comes with rFactor isn't what your after, it's made to be modded and there are literally hundreds of mods for it.

P.S. Why do you want to drive from behind? Do you do that in your car?

I've played a few when I was young I've always enjoyed them but I want a really good one for PC...

I'll have a look on amazon, so far I havnt found a racing game on PC thats.....well any good I want something like Forza but obviously not Forza. Just something as realistic.

As much as I enjoy the games you mention, they won't really prepare you for games like rFactor and GTR 2. Games like Forza 2, GT1/2/3/4 are dumb down so they will appeal to the masses.

rFactor, GTR 2 and Race 07 are very different beasts. They'll take lots and lots of practice to get use to, let alone be quick.

If anyone knows how to get it to the default racing game angle please tell me. I got hold of Toca Race Driver 3 demo some V8 supercar Aussie thing and that game seems pretty solid too, but I would like one with a strong online.

As far as I know (never tried, never needed to) the cockpit angle can't be changed, but thats probably because I've never had the need to do it, if you look through the control list it probably is there. To change camera's Insert and Delete are used.

I guess you can change the cockpit angle a bit, by moving the seat forward or backwards. You can do this in gtr2 anyhow. If you really want to change it a lot each car has a textfile with offsets in it, one of those is the cockpit view position, as I found out when I edited a car and was basically sitting where the footwell would be
