Well, they would. I'd like to see Button win, only reason I support Honda. I find myself willing Schumi to win, probably because of his ability to put in killer laps when needed.

Monaco.... i like those tracks...narrow tracks and tough to overtake....so 90% depends on qualifying...the pole player can very well utilize this track....

I m waiting for this .... i think Schumi doesn't have that big impression so for on this track...

tough to overtake! Its pretty much impossible these days, If this track wasnt at Monaco it would be long gone from the calendar, its only there because of the glamour not for the sport.

You wont hear me say this, but you cant blame bernie for the zero overtaking at monaco, its all down to the track, its too narrow and twisty, its always been a problem (in the modern era anyway)

You could be like Alonso last year and overtake by running over the chicane right out of the tunnel, ;) He had to give up the spot (Webber was it?).

yeah happens a lot these days, although you didnt used to be able to get away with it as there was a big concrete wall there, thats just another example of how formula one has been sanitised, even on a rediculous circuit like monaco its been modified to make it easier, the only challenge monaco held was being able to get round fast without hitting a wall and they are slowly moving them! I expect in a few years they will find away to remove the hairpin!!!

I meant overtaking in General, overtaking is riskier at Monaco, but I'd say there are more overtaking places than at Imola.

Of course it's harder to overtake with the barriers at Monaco, but you have more places than people think.

Out of tunnel into chicane
Long winding straight after first corner.
Into first hairpin.

Thing is though, where the track is so narrow already, all the driver in front has to do is slightly cover the line and you've got no chance. I remember Enrique Bernoldi (Arrows) holding up David Coulthard (McLaren) back in 2001 for ages!

I too remember a Minardi (Bruni as far as I could remember) spun somewhere around the tunnel (I think its the section Sureshot was talking about) and created a traffic jam.

Another very irritating thing about this track is that some section of this track is so narrow that if someone spins everybody will get stuck behind him. I think Sato or Villenueve will cause a few problems for others.

Tunnel is the exciting place to pick up speed... rest of the track with curves!!!!
I remeber miky spinning once and retired from the race... i m not sure which race was that.... I think person from Jacquar won tht race!!!
Lets see who is going to spin this time and create traffic jam!!!!!

I think you are talking about the 2004 season. Mikey spun behind the safety car and Jarno Trulli of Renault won the race. Button and Barrichello finished 2 and 3 in that race.

:D I think there was another incident not so long ago where someone had spun at the hairpin and virtually the whole field was stuck.

Just to let you all know, Max Motorsport is preparing for it's second season of BATracer competition and names are being taken down for entries. Check out our very basic, but new homepage too. :)
