Group A - 12th Match Ireland v India

I am still not getting what you are trying to say.

India are as good as through to the S8 unless they screw up badly against the Irish[ by badly, they need to be bowled out under 100,whihc may not happen]

If Ireland beats Banga, they will be in the S8.

If Ireland lose to Banga and somehow beat India,it will be a question of NRR.

India are in and I dont care who is other team going through.

Dont need Zaheer against Ireland. Let him rest and bring in PK for him. Need Irfan to get some cheap wickets against Irish to get him confidence back as I still believe he is required in T20 lineup.

Yeah, I would also rest Zaheer against Ireland and let him have a break for the more important games (probably!) in the Super Eights. We are going to have one hell of a group in the super eights (if we get there!)

If Bangladesh is unable to win by above 25 runs then India will definately to Super 8.

Are you sure? What if Bangladesh are chasing? What is the cutoff point in their victory margin for India to qualify (ie. by how many wickets should they win for India to reach the Super Eights without having to think abt their result against Ireland)?

I think we are through (unless a miracle happens). Mathematically we are not yet assured of the Super Eights spot, but we are almost there.

Yus yus. Going to India v Ireland match as well at Trenet Bridge. These are the best few days of my life :banana2

I just made a guess that they have to win by 25 runs so you can calculate yourself how many overs they have to win the game. But even if Bang beat Ireland with less than 25 runs then still Ire can go if they beat India by huge margin.

Bangladesh are gonna get knocked out. I have a strong feeling.

Same here. The Bangs have been following just one formula for victory since the 2007 WC.
Win the toss and bat first irrespective of the conditions.

This may hit them hard.

I want Bangla to lose today.I dont want us to depend too much on tommorow's result.
I havent seen much of Ireland recently.Dont know how they'll play. But they arent looking like the same team that won against Pakistan in 2007.

I hope Bangladesh get through to the super eights, Ireland are way too boring.

Bangladesh are batting first, I want to see Iqbal make some runs today.

Oh Bangladesh. What rubbish. What complete and utter rubbish. 107/7, and not one wicket has fallen through a good ball. Not one. Every wicket has been gifted to Ireland like it was their birthday. Ashraful leading from the front - a six, a four, was dropped, so played the exact same shot again only to be caught that time. Why hasn't he been binned yet, I don't know. Someone with his lack of mental capacity doesn't deserve this many chances no matter how weak the side.

Mortaza and Naeem scratching about now. 110 with 11 balls remaining, they'll want 120 and pray that they can defend that. Unlikely though, the Irish batsmen, unlike the Bangladeshi batsmen, aren't complete and utter morons who do their best to waste their talent.

117/8 now, Naeem out by shuffling across and missing the ball. Great. Mortaza and probably Razzak to bat the last over, 130 is what they'll want.

Ireland and Holland performing. Scotland already out.
Hmm...
But for that last over I think Ireland would have won this - now I've got Bangladesh as favourites.

Well atleast Bangladesh have a total they can defend now, some very good hitting at the death by Mortaza.

TBH, I'd take the Scotland side over England. They've probably hit more sixes.

Cusack's last over goes for 20 runs, Mortaza clubbing two sixes and 4 fours. 137 by Bangla, 138 for Ireland to win. Manjrekar states that Ireland's highest score in their last 4 T20s is 119, so there is still hope.

Still an absolute rubbish performance by Bangla with the bat. Ashraful should be sacked and never called back.

Ireland have done a good job by restricting Bangladesh to 137,they could have restricted below that, but a good inngs by Mortaza 33 runs of 16 balls, lets see how Bangladesh bowls now...

Yes,no doubt, but these small totals, chases many a times goes down to wires, they are not easily chasable, lets see how Ireland bat, because if Bangladesh loose here they will be difinately out of the competition
