Group B - 9th Match Netherslands v Pakistan

I might want to see Pakistan in the Super Eights.... After Ireland have qualified, Netherlands also being there could make things a little too easy for the other teams. Pakistan would be a better option as they will pose far more challenge to the other teams.

i was at the oval yesterday, and the pakistan fans were getting quite stressed

every boundary, they started jumping up and down, and hugging each other. then came the continuous chants of 'Pakistan, sind da bad' (excuse poor spelling) which were met by shouts of 'Great Shot....for ONE' and 'Easy, easy, easy' whenever England took a wicket.

I was there with a few mates from my cricket club, and the two guys in front were all light hearted, but a couple of fans were getting out of hand. one guy, who was repeatedly waving a certain finger at the english fielder on the boundary, and who was showing each and every england fan his backside.

I would also like to mention that Stuart Broad and Rolfe van der Merwe were getting some serious abuse, which i am not going to repeat, but most of the Broad abuse was focused around the incident involving the sri lanka team last year.

personally, i would like to see pakistan get knocked out, cricket doesn't need fans that abuse players

Roelef van der Merwe and Stuart Broad ? Together ?

As far Broad- I think the Pakis were abusing his father who had smashed the Pakistan security during the Srl-Pak Test Series.

Makes sense. What confused me was you said the Sri Lanka incident 'last year', the terrorist attack happened on 3rd March this year.

I dont believe that upsets could happen so often. Even in T20, Netherlands beating england and ireland beating a big nation (Bangladesh not counted) is a big upset and once it has happened, it wont happen again and again.

But the minnows have beaten the big teams before and regardless of how often you think they they can do it, the fact is that they are capable of doing it and can do so at any time.
