Group D (England, Ireland, West Indies) - 10th Match Ireland v England

I thought it was Ireland VS England :doh

Good start by England. Wonder what took selectors too long to select Lumb in side.

Probably the fact he's 30 and has been dire in Domestic cricket until last year. Only really started developing as a player properly since he joined Hampshire.

Lumb and Kieswetter played nicely, but we could have done with them sticking around for a tad longer. Not going to complain though, did a lot better than Bopara and Wright did in the last tournament. Just need KP and Morgan to put on a partnership now.

I would be mad at KP if Morgan was not coming in :)

Still not worried, should get 160 plus easy from here

Anyone else think the logic behind Sidebottom's inclusion is because of Gayle's recent struggles against Bollinger and left-arm seam in general? Not sure if it'll work or not, as I don't think Sidebottom's anywhere near as good as Dougeh, but it's ITSTL.

hee hee, don't I look like a damn fool now. Ill take is as long as we put up 170 plus.

EDIT: Called it a long time ago that Pollard's bowling would not be up to standard at the International level.

Yeah, don't know how Pielard's been so successful early in his career with the ball tbh. Always bowled pie whenever I've seen him. Barely a better bowler than Bopara.

DLF'er for Morgan now. Nice to see these 2 playing nicely now.

Niiice. Six number 9 for England, that facet of our game has really improved since Flower's taken over.

Holy DLFers Wright!

EDIT: no ball!

EDIT: 50 up for Rampaul in 2.4 overs

:laugh That was a ridiculous shot from Morgan. How does he get away with it? Never seen a shot like that played against a seam bowler.

I know we joke about Morgan > Sachin but one thing for sure

Morgan > McCullum :)
