Basically the Czechs need to win to qualify, while a draw or better will be good enough for Italy. If USA beat Ghana, and Italy win their game, then the Americans are through!

You put too much confidence on Italy. : I had also a lot of confidence in Italy by betting 3000 vCash on them.

Somehow I want to see the Czech Republic and Ghana get through. Czech Republic had a great match against USA and Ghana had a great match against Czech Republic. Italy didn't do well against USA and I had some mixed feelings after the match Italy vs Ghana, since if Ghana took some chances the result would have been different.

Does anyone know where that ref was from? All the American commentators were flipping out over the red cards. The one given to Italy was 'deserved' but the ones given to Americans were 'harsh and unfair. This ref WILL NOT be taking part in any further matches here in the World Cup.' Seriously, I didn't think the decisions were all that bad. But then again, I'm not biased towards the USA.

When the ref gave the US the second red card i really felt sorry for the US and was a bit angry on the ref.. those foults didnt reaallly deserve red cards... :

Pope had 2 yellows, and both were yellow cards. Mastroeni was a rough challenge, and the refs have been told to crack down on 2 footed lunges from behind.

They were both miles behing De Rossis red though.

All the red cards were fair. And I listened to the BBC and Dutch commentators and they even complimented the referee. Sounds like American commentators can blow up things. And I find a tackle on the ankle worse then an elbow on the head, because it takes a lot of time to recover from an injury on your legs then on your head. And football is to be played with the legs, so that's why I find an attack on the legs worse.

De Rossi was completely reckless, he elbowed a guy hard enough to produce blood. How is that better than a lazy challenge on the legs?

I still can't get over the look of absolute astonmishment and disbelief on De Rossi's face when he was given the red card. He had just elbowed a guy in the face, what did he expect the Ref to do? Give him a peck on the cheek.
