GTA V

Gta 5 online on ps3 is the best game online I've ever played with friends, just constant laughs it actually hurts.

I killed someone online the other day who had a $99m bounty on him :D

My favourite thing to do online is to wait outside Lost Santos customs until someone leaves and then immediately blow up their vehicle with sticky bombs! :lol

Despite only being lvl25 I have found a way of purchasing a tank so now i'm just rampaging around the city in one and destroying anyone I see :lol

Sounds great and I'm about to upgrade my PC to take full advantage of it when it does release on PC. :)

I'm building a PC very soon - ordered all of the parts and can't wait to get started! So much better than the supposed "next gen" consoles! :)

CPU: i5 4670k
GPU: GTX 780
RAM: 8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance

Cannot wait to put it together :D.

GTA V on 360/PS3 is an excellent game, really fun physics, a decently paced story (if a bit short) and the typically great atmosphere/detail the GTA series is renowned for...

The graphics they managed to get out of such outdated hardware (PS3/360) were unbelievable, but there was horrible aliasing and some very poor textures, so if the game is well optimized for PC then it will look superb and I will happily purchase it again. Running it on high settings at 60fps will be amazing.

Hey man, I'm getting the exact same RAM/CPU as you. :D

My proposed upgrade:

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z87-DS3H
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K 3.40GHz
RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3 1866Mhz Vengeance

GPU (AMD 6850) will be OK for a bit longer and I'll upgrade that later in the year. :)

It's gonna be epic!!

Awesome :).

I pushed the boat out a bit and went over-budget, especially on the GPU, but you get 90% of the Titan's performance with the GTX 780 and it was "only" ?100 or so more than the GTX 770 or AMD R9 280x I initially had in mind, I'm sure that's an investment I won't regret :).

The online servers are down for 24 hours and as predicted Rockstar have begun removing gifted/modded money so I could potentionally end up having no money at all :noway

What's everyone's thoughts on the money being cleared?

the online mode was a bit rubbish anyway. it only worked if people were playing as teams, the big heists part of online that was rumoured and going to work out like the big missions in single player never materialised.

I ended up just going about blowing people up for no reason.

Yeah it got pretty boring to be honest, I used one of the LSC glitches to get a few million just because I couldn't really be arsed with the grinding for money crap. The online missions were boring and repetitive, and the matchmaking for races was utterly shite.

There was also no proper free roam mode where you could just dick around with no consequences like in GTA IV where everyone would just mess around at the airport... In GTA V because of the whole money thing (especially at the start when it took loads of money when you died) and the "Bad Sport" system, this was ruined.

The best fun I had on GTA was in GTA IV's online free-roam on a friend's jailbroken PS3 with hacks to mod/spawn things in online games on the fly.

To me, GTA is meant to be about messing around with the physics and doing awesome stunts, not a cash grinding RPG type thing with microtransactions.

Great game still and I enjoyed it a lot, but could have been much better - I'm sure the PC version will be fantastic, especially with the inevitable mods.

@MasterBlaster76 - This new PC I built is freaking awesome, coming from the 360 this is a MASSIVE leap. Being able to play everything in 1080p at 60fps is just superb. Makes me laugh that some of the "next-gen" console's games are having to use 720p and/or run at 30fps. This new generation of consoles really sucks balls.

I had $88m which has been reduced to $330,000 :lol

I have a few cars in the garage (including an adder) which I will be selling to retrieve some of the cash.

But the main thing is....Still got my rhino tank! :D

Problem for me with GTA online wasn't people cheating or even server issues like in the first few weeks.

it was the loading times. wanting to do a mission with a pal? you have 4 menus and 5 loading screens to wade through, for a 6 minute race, then either 30 seconds to do that same race again, or another 5 minute wait for a 4 minute one life deathmatch in an alleway.

the freeroaming stuff was fun, a bit.

The thing is though ''freeroam'' isn't actually ''free'' is it really? I much preferred GTA IV's online where you could just join a lobby and cause havoc without having to worry about money.

Was playing around earlier online blocking people in buildings :lol
