You can repeatedly kill other players as much as you like....providing they're NOT in passive mode, otherwise you'll get put into bad sport!

This is the sixth time I've been in the bs lobby, the first 5 all for blowing up personal vehicles, well actually a lot of personal vehicles.

This time one guy I kept running over messages me saying he was gonna report me, and within 2 mins I have the dunces hat on, he may have been in passive mode, I don't actually remember, but it's not like I've killed more passive mode players than normal, since the game came out Ive always killed whoever is there in front of me, if your passive i will run your arse over, or hose you over with the fire engine.

Gta is meant for destruction and me and my mate do just that and only that, but with no hacks or glitches or tanks or jets, so we cause mayhem on a level playing field, so getting punished again for such pathetic stuff is so frustrating, considering all the glitchers and hackers in the game who go unpunished

I used to defend myself with sticky bombs, blowing up people's personal vehicles in the process and did this plenty of times without getting the dunce hat. You must have gone out of your way to just piss people off to end up getting bad sport status six times.

Getting bad rep for killing passive players must be a new thing since I last played, but that sounds like a good addition to me. Passive players have a different blip on the radar and it's easily visible to see that they are in that mode, hassling/killing them is just a dick move really and deserves bad sport points.

I'm sure on PC it will be much better online due to the lack of console kiddies, higher player count, lobby chat to co-ordinate votekicks etc...

Yeah... or the ones with the really irritating squeaky voices who just won't shut up.

Going on a FIFA 10v10 free for all game is just hell for your ears... I dread to think what COD is like these days!

Like I said for the first 5 bans they were all for blowing up personal vehicles, this time was different, yes killing players a lot was going on, but that is all, no pv were blown up.

As for killing passive mode, I don't go out my way but if your anywhere near me and I'm in my car your going down, simple as, if you go hide up off the road I'll go call a fire engine and spray you the hell back down.

Passive mode is for pussies, gta is meant for carnage not making daisy chains

Ugh... I remember that when I used to play online. So bloody annoying! Then there are the ones who swear continuously, oh and mustn't forget the ones who try and sing when they blatantly can't. This is one thing that concerns me about online in Elite Dangerous - is it going to be full of idiotic conversations that have nothing to do with the game and only serve to kill the immersion?

As for killing passive mode, I don't go out my way but if your anywhere near me and I'm in my car your going down, simple as, if you go hide up off the road I'll go call a fire engine and spray you the hell back down.

And as for the "passive mode is for pussies" bit, well with that sort of attitude, being in the bad sport lobby sounds justified.

It's the fault of the game design really, but not everyone wants their free roam sessions to just be map-wide deathmatches... I would like a mode like GTA IV's free roam with friendly fire off where you could just mess around doing stunts/silly stuff... In V this isn't an option and you end up just being in the lobby with people who will just spoil anything you try to do by blowing everyone up in a tank, attack helicopter or just killing you then constantly spawnkilling you.

On the 360/PS3 the online community is just abysmal. You are lucky to join a game without at least one of these insufferable scumbags.

I totally agree with you though, all I wanna do is go around the map causing absolute havoc but I find myself being held back by the threat of being thrown into a 'Bad Sport' lobby.

I totally agree with you though, all I wanna do is go around the map causing absolute havoc but I find myself being held back by the threat of being thrown into a 'Bad Sport' lobby.

I kept an eye on my status and for about a week I was the only one in any lobby I was in as a "dodgy player".

Like i said I was not blowing up cars, so I can only think I was dodgy for killing other players loads, how can that be a valid reason, which Is why I couldn't react to my "dodgy player" status as frankly I couldn't see what I was doing wrong that all the other players were not doing also.

Funniest thing happened earlier on today, long story short...I had about 5 players all after me because I kept killing them in the Buzzard, they eventually got me so I switched to passive mode and hid inside the airport parking lot stairwell as they were trying to run me down...anyway I managed to escape and I went straight towards the glitch where you get inside one of the bridges...and this is where the fun started I kept killing them through the walls and they just didn't have a clue where I was

So in passive mode you can kill others but they cant kill you ?

No, I forgot to mention that when I got inside the glitch I switched back out of passive mode.

Finished the story mode around a month ago, over to the online mode now. Hours of fun.
Been doing random jobs, races, etc. And death matches are the ones I enjoy playing the most. Day or two since I gave online a try, just rank 12 now. Killed lot many with the *high mental state* , got thrashed by them more often though, major reason being most of them seem to heavy weapons especially sticky bombs(my favorite). Just trying to get my rank up to at least 18 now, so I could buy the sticky bombs and blow people up. lol
Unpredictability of the people makes it more enjoying.
