For those who don't know, I started this thread a fair while back now, and I figured that I wouldn't mind continuing it now that I have a fair bit more time on my hands with holidays and all. You may notice that I haven't got my current team line-up posted here, thats because since the season is finished, I'm trying a few new things before I use what I have already set out in my head for next season. Anyway, here it is! Feel free to add any tips or comments

CLUB INFO

As you can see, I'm using up all my money earnt from this season to fund two new youth pulls at the start of next season.

FINANCES

My finances may look on a downward slope, but this is just because I recently hired a fair lump of staff after using the FA and PR helper told me I could use more.

NETS

It may look like I am certainly over training Coppinger, but this is only because I need him to play a major roll next season, thus all the training he can receive now will be worth it. After I have my two new youth pulls, they will occupy all the spaces in the nets for the whole season.

Sell a player. if you don't want to, then:
Give Craig AH a stamina net.
Coppinger has to be taken care off. 1 batting, 1 bowling, 1 stamina, and if you can spare it, a fielding. If you can't spare the 4th net, give him the fielding after his stamina hit Proficient.
Toss Mckay a batting and stamina, or batting and fielding. Your choice, but give him a batting at the least.
Same as above for Rautenbach, but with bowling instead.
Use the last net to improve someone's stamina, like Way's.

You have a fairly good squad, make the best use of it. If you need help tactics wise, you could always PM me.

thanks for that zorax, setting nets has always been my greatest problem, so this is what I will have for this week:

Bat - Coppinger
Bat - McKay
Fielding - Coppinger
Stamina - Athers
Stamina - Coppinger
Stamina - Rautenbach
Stamina - Way
Stamina - McKay
Bowl Coppinger
Bowl - Rautenbach

Im going to need some serious financial advice!!! please help everyone

EDIT: Squad updated as of last weeks net sessions

You seem to be in a worse financial mess than me,Id look at selling a couple of players before things get too serious,or atleast one.

You could always sell/fire Payne and use Scott as a keeper until your financial situation gets better, then buy a better keeper.

I put ben chambers on the market, a 17 year old with respectable batting is sure to go for a lot. He is at a base price of $150,000 and the deadline is 3/8/06 4:34

For all interested, check him out and have a bid because he will hopefully be a key to my financial future

150 is a tad too much, but if you are lucky, he might sell.
I reccomend that you set him up for 75K. It is the end of the season, so he is practically 18.

Dave Herbert - 18 yo, BT Rating=9,522
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A destructive player with woeful leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: worthless Wicket Keeping: proficient
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: respectable

I was thinking of putting herb up on the market, he is an absoloutly awful batsmen and I have other people that can keep in his position

How much could i get for him?

wow that little, i think ill just hold onto him then, i would of thought proficient keeping would hold a bit of value

It is pretty much useless without stamina. He'll tire 5 overs into the match! Sell him, some newbie may buy him for 15-20K.

I think selling Ray or Atherton-ham would get you out of debt, considering the current influctuated market you could get a fair bit, but it would also result in you losing one of your best players.

Welcome to the Battrick Championship by the way :)
