Leak or no leak whoever was going to read the book is still going to read the book. It would be stupid to read 6 books, of over 500 pages each, just to download images from the internet to find out how the story ends.

To be honest, I find this quite pointless too. I am not competing with the rest of the world to find out whatever JK Rowling planned for us to find out-it won't do the world any good if I find out the faith of the series before or after anyone (by the way has anyone heard that this book is the most eco-friendly book in history?). And I am not cheap enough to be willing to download some unknown torrents only to save C$30.10.

Is the internet leak the actual book? I'm asking because some people say it's just close to the actual book.

The article in PC World stated this:
PC World said:
PC World confirmed a book that appears to be "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is available. I looked at the first ten pages of the apparent book and if it is a fraud it's a very convincing one.
To be honest, the little I have seen and heard about this copy, it appears to be quite authentic, not to mention convincing.

Its the real deal, I read the ending, spoilers and all but doesn't deter me from buying the actual book and reading it. You have to admire the story telling, literature, the actual journey with the characters in a virtual world. And we all know that the book cannot afford a sad ending. ;)

Well, if it's not the real book then the person who wrote it must be extremely bored in life...Well, I only read the first book. I didn't really like it, even though the first one was quite short. When I saw the length of the books that followed, I realized that they would be too time consuming and I never got around to reading them. I downloaded this so called "leak" to see if it was true. I couldn't quite make out whether it was so I asked tobes who said it didn't really sound like a Harry Potter book. He mentioned that Rowling likes to build up the suspense and in this "leak", the beginning didn't seem very convincing.

Spoiler !

Yes the book is real.
But,i thought that she has taken the story to a very stupid angle.

Please don't discuss the book in here if you've read it until official release on saturday. If you do want to read chapters 1-21 (which are superb :p) then check the usual download sites on the internet ;)

can we have another seperate thread for Spoilers guys! i have been following it from Book 4 and last book was surely Awesome and last thing i want is the end part ruined by someone :p

Well, I am sure noone is daft enough to post it so you are pretty safe. Only one more day to go anyways.

I'm getting it the second it releases...

Some of the confirmed things in the book are that:
-The fact that Harry has Lilly's eyes will be very important.
-We lear something very important about Aunt Petunia (No, she isn't a squib)
-Someone manages to do magic very late in life.
-The two-way mirrors will play a role
-Something important about Lilly is discovered

And my guesses are:

1) Harry is a horocrux
2) Harry doesn't die
3) Snape dies
4) Dudley/Figg/Flich does magic
5) Voldy's points of the time-turners and Dumbledore's brother.

So you're going to wait at the door of your book store at midnight?

If we consider your first guess to be correct, then in order to vanquish Voldemort, Harry needs to kill himself plus. So the only way he survives, if Voldemort survives as well. And according to the prophecy that cannot happen. Also if Harry was a horcrux, why would Voldemort try to kill him? It would be almost nonesensical for someone as brilliantly evil as him.

I heard the Dumbledore plays an important part in the story, though he is not alive. (It's a rumour)

It's really tempting to read the book after Colin says he read it. :p
