Guzaarish is a flagrant frame-to-frame rip off of a slew of Hollywood movies, at least that's what the papers are claiming, and it is one of the reasons as to why I've decided against watching it.

Anyway, I'm eagerly looking forward to Khelein Ham Je Jan Se. Going by the trailers, Avishek Bacchan seems to have put tremendous efforts into the film, which is based on Surya Sen's life and contributions to the Indian independence movement. It has been a long time since Bollywood last experimented with historical characters, and I'm quite intrigued to know the results.

I am watching it this weekend in theatre. Ashutosh Gowariker is back with a period film, and I like Abhishek and Deepika (to an extent). Miss AR Rahman's music with this Gowariker film.

As usual I am expecting the highly-acclaimed PC critics to come with ratings of 1/5 and such. Seriously, good movies here receive crap reviews and people always rave about terrible movies. The only exception was 3 Idiots, and even then people were saying it was bad!

just like with the "Professional" critics, its ultimately your judgement call.

now, you both consider kuch kuch hota hai as one of your favorites (IIRC)..
i personally despise it and feel its one of the most cheesiest films.
theres so much cheese, you can literally open a cheese farm.

BUT, its your opinion and it has to be respected and vice-versa.

saw khelain hum jee jaan se in theaters last friday and 9 people including us i think where in theater movie was good.
and heard new hera pheri coming international hera pheri.
young generation dont seem to like these movies.
but it was much better than baghat singh crap 1933 shaheed whatever it was.

Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey is no patch to Gowariker's earlier period based films like Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar. The first half is very slow moving, and bores at many places. Abhishek is not greatly impressive, and Deepika doesnt have too much to do. Gowariker certainly misses Rahman's musical touch to the film (the title song is good though, by Sohail Sen). For the attempt to a tell a story thats not been told, I would rate it average.

Watched Akki and Katrina Live at Tees Maar Khan promotion live today in Ludhiana. Superb Sunday and Akki Punjabi is great too. Too bad Katrina canceled his singing a song plan.

Watched Golmaal-3. WTF was it all about? There were so many 'so-called comic pieces' where Ajay Devgn starrs at the other guys, and they all just run for their lives to save their fingers from him. BS! First half had 2-3 laughing lines, but overall the movie kept us stone faced.... Have now decided to skip Rohit Shetty's films. I didnt like All the Best at all, and now Golmaal-2 and Golmaal-3. Pure crap!

It captures everything 90s Bollywood was about.

Watched Tees Maar Khan. Good Comedy but with unfinished ending, story sucks. Not worth watching imo.

2/5 for music and ofcourse Katrina.
