Watched Tees Maar Khan yesterday and I personally feel it is not very bad. Though it isn't one of the greatest movies, but still it is good. I am little disappointed by Akshay Kumar as he could have done a lot better with the kind of role provided to him. Its high time things get on the right track.
As far as the much hyped Sheila is concerned, there was nothing too special to be frank about it. It was just another item song and Munni easily is better than Sheila.
For the movie, I feel the script lacked comedy punches. The film was sailing in two boats, one of comedy and the other of suspense which eventually led it to drown. The silly jokes were just enough to get a smile on the face of one for a second or two, nothing more. Raghu and Rajiv have been purely wasted in the film, but I feel they did the job assigned to them well. That was the best they could do with the kind of role given to them.
Katrina Kaif was good. Finally she has begun acting and its paying off. Some of her expressions were amazing and when she gets in the groove wearing her dancing shoes, there is no stopping her. A good job done by Kat!
The surprise package for me Akshay Khanna. He was simply amazing and I didn't really expected such a big role for him. He did that so well, might just lead to his "comeback" in the Bollywood industry.
The film was ordinary, storyline was bad but the cinematography was excellent. I loved the way a forest scene was shot, mind-blowing. Also the graphic skills used at the start of the movie when Tees Maar Khan is in his mother's womb were pretty entertaining.
One thing which has always been special with films directed by Farah Khan are the way the credits are shown at the end. I just love this technique, a tradition started by her since Main Hoon Na. I would actually give half more points to the movie for just the end, it was brilliant!
Overall the movie was good, but it lacked the necessary "masala". Surely good to watch, but nothing would be there to be sad if missed too. I would have given it 2.5 on 5, but as I mentioned, half points just for the end, my rating stands at 3 on 5.
