Hindi Cinema Discussion

But every Govinda film I have watched has been cheesy, boring, unfunny, and crap.

Your sense of humor is ████ then. He's done some of the greatest comedies. As pointed out by Sai, his no.1 series along with David Dhawan was fantastic.

I guess you only like movies like Don No.1, Gunda Raj and Indra the Tiger where that hero (with the ugly mustache of his) says dialogues so fast as if he has to catch a flight in next 5 minutes.

Housefull is stupid tbh, I chuckled a few times but besides that it's nothing, another fail comedy from AK

Time for action packed film from Akshay. He wanted to be like Jacky Chan but Chan does action comedies rather than only comedy.

I saw Houseful yesterday in Multiplex and I'll rate it 7.5/10. It's not better than Heyy Bebe.

Ending of the story wasn't clear.

Akshay suits hardcore action or a love story (like Dhadkan, Ek Rishta, etc). Enough of Akshay's comedies.

i will give Hey baby 2/10 and those 2 points are for baby. If its worse than that then I am more than happy with my decision of playing pool for 3 hours instead of going in the Hall.

Which one would be better to watch - Badmaash Company or Kites or Ravana or Rajneeti? I can only watch one!
Currently I'm favouring Ravana. But might go see Kites.

If I were you, it would be a non-decision really. RAAVAN only for me. Badmaash Company is Bunty Aur Babli Part-2. Kites trailer looks so uninspiring (Hrithik is there to save it, but I dont think its a must watch). Rajneeti looks interesting for the stars and the politics that it is going to talk about but Raavan has Mani Ratnam, with Rahman's music, and its a modern adaptation of Ramayana which will be awesome. Ash will also be there in a big role.

Rest upto you. Raavan >>>> any movie that releases this year.

SaiSrini added 0 Minutes and 59 Seconds later...

Kites, Rajneeti > Ravana

Because its Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman?:p just guessing.

No. I'm a fan of both of them. I loved Dil Se. Guru was decent as well. And, don't get me started on AR Rahman. He's one of the finest musicians the country has produced. :hpraise

But, I still feel Ravan will not be as entertaining as Kites and Rajneeti. The promos look average to me. But you never know..

Oh ok. Opinion respected!

Whoa AB over Govinda? When did this happen =/

Govinda is by far the more accomplished actor. His expressions(especially when dancing) are terrific. AB on the other hand has done a few decent roles (Guru, Dhoom cop, etc) but he is average at best. Govinda I feel has been taken for granted at times. People should try offering him different kind of roles.

I also wish people would try casting Paresh Rawal in villian and serious roles. He use to play some good villian roles early in his career. But then he became comedy only like Akshay.

But Paresh Rawal is an excellent comedian. His comic timing is exemplary. But I agree that he is typecast as the comedian.

Yes I know but it's not like he can't do comedy in villain roles. He did movies like "Naam" and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" where he played the villain yet he still did awesome comedy.
