How are you doing in ICC? (any version)

:facepalm WA just scored 230/0 against me in the first t20 of the season, Marsh scoring 131(64) and Robinson 99(56) :facepalm

:D Just scored 229/7 in a t20 with Klinger smashing 110 from 55 :D Hopefully I can win this one

I just had a total of 279 ran down in 37 over's. All my bowlers bowled ████. Noone went at less than 6 an over. Good news was that Coetzer hit an unbeaten century to make it his 7th century of the season, 1st in One Day cricket though. Now sitting second in the CT but have a game in hand over Hampshire who I am on the same points with as well.

Yea it's quite fun playing the 'don't lose with SA' game :p

It's quite funny how some people on the Childish Things forums want a specialised T20 version of the career mode :facepalm

LOL @ Bold.

Is it really that hard to bowl in this game?

My bowling attack is normally Davies, Plunkett, Harmison, Vettori and Thorp with Onions there when he's not on international duty and I still struggle to pick up wickets quickly enough in FC matches.

And it seems my nice young regen can bowl as well. He took a 3/52 from 20 over's to help bowl Somerset out for 374.

It's not hard to bowl, it's just that I'm playing as South Australia, probably the worst team in the game.

:laugh Just won the One Day Cup by beating Western Australia in the final :D

I got put into bat, scored 257 all out off 45.5 overs, which is quite terrible, the lower order got out in the batting powerplay. Klinger scored 103 though. The spinners restricted WA though, with Bailey taking 50-3 and O'Brien 33-3, with Edmondson and Christian also taking two wickets each as they were bowled out for 161 from 35.2 overs :)

Interesting season, Last in the FC and T20s but first in the ODs lol

Borgas, Cooper, Klinger, Ferguson and O'Brien all contributed well with the bat, scoring around 700 runs each, but the bowling was out main problem, with Bailey being teh best with 27 wickets at 36. Hopefully I find some decent bowlers next season.

Dobson hit 4 fours in the last over of the powerplay to now put me on track to win, Di Venuto 57* and Jobson 25* and it's 131/3, needing another 33 runs to win.

Match tied :facepalm

Unbelievable. I tied Scotland CC. I should have easily chased down 163 and I only needed 3 runs off the last over but 4 dot balls to Vettori cost me the game nearly but 2 singles off the last 2 balls tied the game.

Unbelievable batting performance. Dominated Nottinghamshire. Di Venuto got out in the last over of the day but who cares. Great innings from both the openers.

Just managed to win on the second last ball of the fourth day with 2 wickets in hand. Made 407/8 declared. They only made 194 and I enforced the follow on. They made 402 all out leaving me 193 to win. It was a pitch for bowlers and god knows how they scored 402 in their second innings. I lost Di Venuto, Coetzer, Benkenstein and Collingwood all early on but Vettori stuck in there scoring 81* batting at #6 with support from Onions with 37 as I got over the line by 2 wickets, having needed 19 runs off the last 3 over's of the day. Thorp was the man who got me over the line with 9* off 3 balls. Also, Coetzer has now scored more runs than Di Venuto after his score of 198. The 2 openers have been excellent. Here are their statistics in 16 FC matches (including University matches)

Di Venuto - 16 matches - 1459 runs @ 52.11
Coetzer - 16 matches - 1556 runs @ 57.63

And in OD matches:

Di Venuto - 11 matches - 811 runs @ 90.11
Coetzer - 11 matches - 505 runs @ 50.5

those are great statistics, especially Di Venuto's OD record :O

The OD runs actually beats the record on the Childish Things Forum.

lol. Really. He's made 4 OD centuries and 5 OD fifties. Every game, I rely on both of them to at least get past 40. Benkenstein also averages around 80 in FC cricket although he's only scored like 1000 runs. Smith averages above 70 as well.

Holy ████, one of my guys actually got an Australian contract six seasons in, Peter George (I don't think he's a regen)!!!
I also just got an 18 year old regen this season, with a 2nd team bowling average of under 20.
To back that up I finished 4th in the OD competition.
I still lack a genuine AR who can bat six and bowl 10 overs, infact now I only have 2 AR's altogether since O'Brien's retired.
Decided to take a gamble this season and not get any overseas players for the T20 stuff, as both of them available were crap, I don't really care about T20's, and I couldn't decide out of these two batsmen so I just took them both.
Things are finally starting to look up.

no no. Peter George is not a regen. He's currently in the Australian squad although he hasn't played a match. I was going to ask how he goes in the game.

You's are making me really want to start a save with SA.

Sure. Why not. I haven't bothered playing any of my Aussie saves anyway and that was the real reason I got the game lol.

hedger_14 added 11 Minutes and 51 Seconds later...

Drew my first match. Played pretty well, I guess. They batted first, made 499 all out, Edmondson 4/72 and George 3/120. I batted really well scoring 538 all out, Dan Christian making an unbelievable 200*, scoring his 200th run the ball before his #11 partner go tout. Borgas scored 79 and Cullen even scored a fifty while George also batted well down the order with 38. Klinger and Harris both got out in the 40's. They finished their second innings 211/5, a comfortable draw while I take away 2 points for first innings win.

wow Christian 200*

Chewie added 1 Minutes and 48 Seconds later...

Just got my highest score, 689 all out, with Klinger scoring 302 from 368 balls, and Christian scoring 111 from 145
