In the OD match against Tasmania I scored 278 thanks to 152* off 131 balls from Callum Ferguson. They chased it down with an over to spare as Cowan scored 129* and Ponting 75

SA bowling is their main problem for me, I often get good totals (300-400) in FC matches, but the other team gets like 500 declared.

Yea, Victoria just scored 600 declared >< Peter George is their only good player in FC matches and he's not great

Well sheer desperation for a FC win has probably costed me in a loss. Declared too early and they are 226/5 with 4 runs to win off the final over of the day. They needed 6 runs off 2 over's but Vettori bowled a good over only conceding 2 runs.

Beat Victoria in a OD game

Scored 279/9 batting first, Borgas getting 78 and Klinger 68. Managed tobowl them out for 152 off 30 overs with O'Brien taking 4 wickets and Bailey and Christian getting 2. I'm not actually doing too badly with SA

Yes. I managed to hold them off, which was helped by Plunkett taking the wicket of Sutton first ball and Smith couldn't score any runs until the last ball when he scored a single so I drew, Lancashire needing 3 more runs to win.

IIRC I just scored my first ever 300 with SA (in a OD game), Ferguson and Borgas with hundreds, and then I rolled Victoria for 176.
With three OD matches to play, I'm off the bottom of the table!

How many games do you skip each season on average?

Most of them.
Just skipped the whole T20 thing five seasons in, and got bowled out twice in the 40's.
I'm eight points off last in the OD thing with two games remaining, so fingers crossed I won't finish last in either FC or OD for the first time

hedger_14 added 3 Minutes and 6 Seconds later...

Just lost in the T20 final (skipping it) but Vettori played well scoring 31* with the bat and taking 3/39 with the ball. Di Venuto couldn't repeat his semi final performance as he scored a duck. Now back to the real stuff.

Yea it's quite fun playing the 'don't lose with SA' game

It's quite funny how some people on the Childish Things forums want a specialised T20 version of the career mode

WHAT!! How can anyone want more than a few games of T20. Anyway, I've got a nice regen coming through it seems. He has scored 1936 runs @ 50.95 in 27 second team matches and has just gone out and made 147 on First Class debut bating at #5. Looks like he will be a nice middle order batsman in the years to come. Definately keeping him for next season.


So keep an eye on John Dobson.

Just scored 339/6 batting first in an OD game, Klinger scoring 62(73), Ferguson 123(118), Borgas 84*(82) and O'Brien 40(17). In reply they scored 321 all out off 45.4 overs

They got so close, I couldn't believe it. Cosgrove was left stranded on 164*(128). SA bowlers are really terrible.
