How did you get into cricket?

get serious.

Lol, I am serious. I knew what cricket was before that because my parents used to watch, but I wasn't really interested. It was the first full game of cricket I watched. Since then, I've been hooked and have pretty much every Sportstar magazine since the year 2000 lol.

Mumbai has several smaller cities in it. 19 million people weren't born in that one city. Maybe in Mumbai, but not a particular city.

Im just saying, he said it as if Sachin was born in some small remote village and he is one of the few from the same place. Thats like me saying I was born in Renee Zellwegers home town (houston) when 4 millions others were too

You are influenced by those around you. If you hear so many people tlaking about Sachin and cricket, you are exposed to it a lot more than common people. That's what he was trying to say.

yea for example manhattan and queens are not cities of NYC. They are boroughs in one city.

^ before or after all the other ass kickings India has give you guys? you are just trying to start a fight, stop being a douche bag!

I don't think so. Mumbai itself is a city, it probably has provinces in it, but a city cannot contain other cities.

Untrue.

Salford is a city in its own right, and its in Manchester. (England)

So, this statement is incorrect.

my dad got me into cricket. he plays a lot of cricket and I got into it when I went over to England when my dad was playing for Dorchester and some guy on the team played some cricket with me. That was when I was like 6. I then played U10's like 2 years later and found that I was a nice batsman and a pretty good keeper as well. I also bowled some handy medium pace since everyone had to bowl in U10. I averaged about 20 with the bat then and no idea with the ball. I then went into my second season in U11. I then played my next season averaging 40 with the bat and 20 with the ball. When I went into U12 I averaged 29 with the bat and 11 with the ball.

I then took a break from cricket for a year. I then changed my bowling to offspin. I played U14 for a different team last year/this year as I was into cricket a lot more. I was a #9 batsman (you see that my batting is not as good as it used to be) I averaged 3 with the bat and 7.5 with the ball bowling a few great bowls to left handed batsman, one pitching a fair way outside offstump and he went out to defend and he got beaten by the flight and drift as it went on to hit offstump.

Lance Klusener got me into cricket during the 1999 World Cup, the most exciting all rounder of the game for me.
