How do you English fans feel about the substitute fielders?

the point?

First time posting guys, so hope I don't offend anyone.

I get the feeling their is a lot of bitterness coming from some on this thread.

The way I see it is so what if the bowlers are going off for a break?

Unfair advantage I hear you say.....they come back rested and stronger....So what? The batsman have already faced the bowler when they were strong and the batsman wore the bowler out. The bowler then goes of for a quick break , comes back and tries again. I honestly don't see whats wrong with that. It's still 11 v 11 isn't it!! It's not as if the bowler has been given a new shiney ball or anything!! he's just had a quick break, it's not as if he can fully recover in 5 minutes!!!

The Aussies have been clutching at straws because they don't like the fact that they lost to England of all teams!!

I see nothing ethically wrong with what England did. My main point being so what if the bowler goes off for a quick break... theres only so much you can recover in 5 minutes!!!

Well, they keep refreshing themselves, rarely getting tired, and when they are off the field they(you)bring on brilliant fieldsman.:mad:If you can't see thats wrong well,i'm not surprised.....(if your a pom that is)

Get your facts straight, Pratt was on the field because Jones was injured, so he was on 100% legitimately. Hildreth took a catch but anyone would've caught that, i think it was a tailender too iirc.

We don't know Jones was seriously injured,i expect he's taken after yuor soccer players, faked it.Aussies don't whinge,we point out that poms are way to cocky for their own good, and should go drown themselves in warm beer.

Faked it? He was in hospital at the time!

Some of the Australians on this forum are really coming across as incredibly sore losers.

Disagree!!

You say they kept refreshing themselves.....How much can you recover in 5 minutes or so?? You make it sound like they are back to 100% again!! when the reality is all they have done is get their breath back and then go back onto the field. Besides it's not as if the batsman is facing anything he hasn't already faced!!

As for specialist fielders... rubbish, there was only two occasions they contributed, 1 catch and a runout. Both were Australias own fault (silly shot and the runout wasn't a single!)

Being a Pom or an Indian or whatever makes no difference... I just think Aussies are being sore losers. (I'm indian by the way and support India!!)

You are the one making the claim here, it's your repsonsibility to back it up. So go on, back it up.
I don't need to back it up,as i am not saying that it did actually happen.Just that it is possible.

Why would a player want to make himself unavailable for a match in a potential Ashes victory?

Also did you not see the injury?

And of course Australians are never cocky.

What's that 5-0?
