I am leaving/back thread

13 wickets in just 4 games mate, things are going well. Took 49 wickets last season, the most in my club. Hoping for 50-60+ this season.

Sounds like you're well on track for getting to a very decent uni at this rate. Although, the step up from GCSE to AS, and then A2, is bigger than you would imagine.

I need BBC to get into Lincoln Uni, which is my top choice. Last year I got BCD, but re-sitting the D for a second time on the 28th. If I can get that up to a C then I just need a B in media, a B in English and a C in PE in my exams and I should be there. Still gonna be bloody hard work.

Ahh that's a shame. We can always start up another save, or even use one of the later versions, or CC09. We could control an associate nation on Cricket Coach, that would be interesting.

Bloody hell, looks like you ain't doing too bad at all cricket-wise!

Yeah hopefully, should get into a very good Uni as long as I can get myself motivated, which is easier said than done. I've also heard that A-levels are much harder but GCSEs are incredibly easy, so that's to be expected. ;)

Hopefully you can do well in your re-sits and get a C or even scrape a B. I'm sure you'll manage all the other grades you need, with relative ease.

Aye, I'm definitely up for another save, though it would probably have to be in the Summer after the exams in May/June - I have enough distractions as it is! :D

A Level's aren't hard as long as you don't screw around too much. The fact that I was able to do AS and A2 in just the one year and walk away with BBC kinda proves that

Bottom line is, don't do PE. Ruins everything because of the sheer amount of work you have to do. It is basically history, psychology and biology but all related to sport. About 90% of the things you learn don't come up in the exam but you still have to revise it all just in case. And some of it is just ridiculously hard to grasp/remember.

You'll probably be alright at it seeing as you seem to be more intelligent than me, but with mass amounts of coursework this year and last I've really struggled with PE. It was my only A at GCSE as well, which says something.

As stated in the Mafia thread, I'm off to visit some UNI's in the UK. Should be a pretty good laugh!!

Bolded bit is pretty much a given unfortunately. Hopefully, as I'll be at college or sixth form, I will find it easier to concentrate. I will just try and think of it as my last two years of 'real' education and try to convince myself that I will have enough time to party at Uni. I'm starting AS English in September though, a year early, which could either be a blessing or a curse. Hopefully the former.

I might need PE though to venture into the careers of journalism and coaching, whatever I choose to do, so unfortunately I will have to choose it as one of my options. The majoity of the stuff you learn in GCSE PE is also not on the exam but I think i'll really put the effort in for A Levels, so hopefully I'd cope. Saying that, at the moment I am thinking of taking English, P.E, Law and one/two other subjects so might be a case of overload.

More intelligent than you? I should bloody hope so! :D Haha I joke but I hear what you're saying and will definitely consider this when I choose my A-Levels.

What Uni's you wanting to go to, Ollie?

Well I took PE, Media and English Combined (Lang + Lit). It's been perfect for my uni course, which is Film & Television and Journalism. My second option is just Film and Television Studies at Derby.

Don't take maths either. Took it at AS, flinging ridiculous amount of work. I got a D in the first January exam, which was better than most but came out of the Summer exams believing I had actually got less than double figures on both tests, and they were out of 75! I didn't do quite that bad but I still got a U and subsequently dropped it. That subject is by far the biggest step up from GCSE. People who got A's and B's at GCSE (me) ended up with U's and E's.

Well the Uni's I'm looking at this week are Birmingham/Warwick on Wednesday. Then Bath/Bristol on Thursday and then two London's on Friday before coming back. Although, really I'm only going for the laugh and to get out of school. Birmingham is one of the uni's at the top of my list, Bath is a uni that I would love to go to, and that make it more of a reach uni.

But other uni's I'm interested in are Loughborough, Exeter, York and Manchester so it's a fair spread of uni's really :p.

Bath, Loughborough and Bristol will be tough to get into. Lougborough is the best for sport and they only accept A students. Bristol is really a ████ hole, don't go there :p

For the course I want to do at Loughborough it doesn't look too hard. I mean yeah by all means I'm obviously gone have to work to get in, but I reckon I have a shot.

Birmingham was my first choice, and the Open Day there was pretty good. Apparently they have a good night life there as well. If I had actually been given the right grades at the time I would currently be at uni there!!!

An extremely busy weekend is ahead of me. I have an exam tomorrow morning. It'll end at 2.00 PM. The center of the exam is about 15-20 kms from my home. It'll easily take me more than an hour to to reach there because of the traffic we have in Delhi. After that, I have to fly to Bangalore the same day. The departure of the flight is around 4.30 PM, but I have to reach the airport around 3.30 PM for the routine security checks. This means that I'll have to rush to the airport immediately after the exam (no time for returning home and then going to the airport).

The next day I have an another exam in Bangalore. It'll end around 4.30 PM in the evening. And then, later in the evening I have to catch a flight back to Delhi around 7 PM.

Sounds confusing, doesn't it? Trust me, I feel the same. Slight delay and I miss my flight/exam.

In short, I'll be away for a couple of days.

Good luck with those. Looks like more travel than exams. More pay for travel than what you'd get from those exams. :D

cee ya.

Plus you're doing the IB. That automatically puts you in front of so many people (even if they have better grades than you).
