For ages - he just has a helmet/hat on all the time. But he had his hair a bit longer at the WC, it looks like he has had a trim.

I don't think that is really true. Ponting= Lengend!! I think Ponting should be cricketer of the decade!!

Going back five years or so, you seldom find a picture with his hair cropped short.

Usually, his hair is fairly long, obscuring his high hairline.

The Test team was posted on Cricinfo minus Punter because that's the way it was announced. Had they added Ponting as the Test team's captain it would have ruined the surprise of whom won the award.
