Story ICC Battle For Supremacy - Its Fifty-Fifty! | PAK v ENG | ENG Innings

Very good idea of hosting the show with character none other than story writers. Excellent creativity is what I can say! :hpraise

Thanks a lot Suren. Credit goes to User for the idea because we were deciding on either Mandira Bedi or Harsha Bhogle but after 15 minutes of conversation User said lets be the host and so here we are. :D Toss coming soon tomorrow after my internal exams are over.

This is way interesting compare to the other stories and mostly the writing is awesome. good work though.

In my opinion India would win the match. Although both sides are evenly balanced but still I think that Indian side is a little stronger/experienced comparing to the New Zealand side.

Impressive writing and presentation. Cool hair style there, Shan. :p

Keep it up guys. :)

: Welcome back and without watsing any more time lets join Ravi Shastri who is there on the pitch with the two captains for the toss and it will be an interesting one.

shastri.png
: Thank You User. The crowd is in action they are all waiting to get this ICC Battle for Supremacy on its way so are the two captains MS Dhoni and Daniel Vettori. Dhoni tosses the coin. Tails is the call from Vettori and it comes down as heads. India have won the toss and there a huge roar from the crowd. Well MS congratulations on winning the toss whats your decision.

: We will bat first. The pitch is hard and dry and will favour batting. Our batting is our strength and so we will bat first and set a target for them to chase. It will also be difficult to chase under the floodlights

shastri.png
: What kind of a score will be good on this pitch?

dhoni.png
: We haven't played much cricket in this stadium, so its difficult to say what would be a good score. Maybe somewhere around 270 will be a good score to defend.

shastri.png
: Whats the team for today?

dhoni.png
: We are going with are best available team which has 5 specialist bowlers in Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan, Nehra and Praveen Kumar. Overall its a good side for the start of this tournament.

shastri.png
: Well, good luck for the match MS.

dhoni.png
: Thank You, Ravi.

shastri.png
: Daniel lost the toss disappointed with that?

vettori.png
: Yeah a bit because the pitch is good for batting and now we will have to make use of the new ball and take some early wickets. The slower bowlers will get some assistance from the pitch, so we are trying to take the advantage of it.

shastri.png
: What score are you looking to stop India from scoring?

vettori.png
: I agree with Dhoni as he said 270 would be a good score to defend, so I guess we will be looking to restrict them to around 240 or maximum 250. Anything around 250 would be chaseable.

shastri.png
: What about your side?

vettori.png
: We are going with our best side. We are going with just 2 specialized bowlers in Mills and Tuffey, but we are many allrounders in the team like Nathan McCullum, Oram, Styris, Ryder and myself.

shastri.png
: Well good luck for the match Daniel.

vettori.png
: Cheers.

shastri.png
: So the news from the centre is that MS Dhoni has won the toss and India will bat first. Back to you User.

userd.png
: Thanks a lot Ravi and now lets have a look at the two teams. Sourav and Stephen what do you think about the teams?

: I guess this is India's best possible team. I am happy to see Irfan back in the team and I feel he will have a huge role to play for India in this tournament. As Dhoni said the strength lies in the batting department and it is as strong as ever. I think India have good chances of winning the game today.

80392193.png
: I am unhappy to see Hopkins in the side. Instead of him I would have gone with another allrounder or a bowler. But anyways its a very good team and with the sub-continental pitches tend to be on the slower side it will help the slower bowlers a lot. I think it will be a very close encounter.

: Thanks a lot Stephen Fleming and Sourav Ganguly for your views about today's match. You guys watching this match can also post your views by simply taking part in the Predictor Challenge. All you have to do is predict the right answer and stand a chance to win some vcash.

India would win the match.

As I mentioned before in my opinion Indian side looks stronger/experienced than New Zealand side. Still, we never know. New Zealand have some really talented batsmen's like McCullum, Taylor, Styris, Oram, Williamson who can be really dangerous on the day when they get going. New Zealand have a decent bowling attack as well. Still, I feel India would win the match because of the experienced players they have in their side.

India to win the game for me too.

Am expecting a century from Tendulkar to start the tournament, and NZ will put up a spirited chase, but will fall short.

Yes, India for me too. One small suggestion, You can always call the commentary stars by either first name or last name instead of full name. " Thanks a lot, Ravi! " adds apt to the conversation in my opinion than " Ravi Shastri! " in speech.

Not much difference though, excellent as always. :)

New Zealand's bowling looks much better than India's, but India's batting looks much better than New Zealand's, so it should be an interesting first up contest.

I agree with what Fleming said, Hopkins is just a waste of space, give the gloves to McCullum, and it just opens up so many more options in out middle-lower order.

I'm going to go with New Zealand to win it, they'll chase it down in the last few overs.

KUTGW, the presentation is looking very tidy.

India to win this:D!

BTW, a suggestion:
In the following image, you should have used a image, which was captured in day time cause its afternoon.

Nevertheless, its awesome:).

And I prefer to go to the stadium in google earth and find pics. Those pics taken from stadium will be excellent for these kind of back grounds:).

Nice presentation. As Dada pointed out, this XI looks the best possible for team India. Good to see Irfan in the side as well.

India for me too.
