India has lost 2 main wickets, Raina and Yuvraj both back to the pavilion but till the time Sachin is there at the crease anything can happen. Dhoni too is capable of playing big innings under pressure so we might see a partnership between these two.

Well India in a very crucial position, if one more wicket downs in next 15 overs, I think India will be in trouble. Sachin and Dhoni to carry the innings from now on. Raina wicket was way too crucial.

I hope India will easily reach 275-300 if Dhoni and Sachin will carry on.

Just loved the update. Though updates are fantastic, I am not happy because, those couple of quick wickes have made India to get into troublesome position. 112/2 to 126/4 Nevertheless, Sachin!!! Sachin!!! Sachin!!! :happy

I know I'm acting a bit stubborn but, I actually like the way Shantanu has done that fixture post. It looks neat and clean and pleasing. If we go and include the updates there, it will end up being something like this.

That is the reason, I have made sections on the first post. All the major things go in ICC Battle For Supremacy section, all match updates in match section, member updates in member section, credits in graphics section.

If I'm missing something, please let me know. We'll try to include the scorecard as such otherwise (If time permits).

Alright guys, a sad thing here. Shantanu is having some problems with AC09 and can't get it working. So, he is not going to update this anymore. I'll be doing this alone now and hopefully will keep up with the updates. Shan is always welcomed though. And, if anyone who has AC09 and would like to team up with me for this he can also come forward. Please PM me about it first. Cheers!

Tendulkar Gone, Dhoni On!​

Sachin Tendulkar reached his half century pretty soon after that half way mark. The job was far from done still. He had fought hard for his fifty and knew his innings was crucial for India to get a respectable total.

After reaching the score of 50, Sachin began to up the ante. Skipper Dhoni along with the Master batted with a lot of thought and kept on ticking the scoreboard. Dhoni was looking in a good nick and Sachin was set. Both the batsmen decided to take the batting powerplay after the 30th over.

But, very first over of the powerplay saw Sachin getting out in bid of scoring quickly. It was a fantastic catch by McCullum. A big big wicket for the Kiwis. Wrong time to take the powerplay? Irfan Pathan walked in. Dhoni decided he was going to go for it. He hit the ball very firmly and started counter-attacking as Irfan supported him.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni looked as if he was back in his own. One remembered Dhoni who used to rattle the bowling attacks before taking up the captaincy. Whatever it was, crowd seemed to enjoy it but Kiwi bowlers thought otherwise. He smashed the ball to every corner of the park as he brought up his quick fire fifty. It seemed he hasn't finished yet...

Irfan Pathan supported his captain very well by giving him the strike more often and hitting an odd boundary. After the batting powerplay, Dhoni curved his innings slightly and looked to take singles and doubles more often. He didn't take any risks and kept the scorers busy. India were 225 for 5 after 40 overs. The stage is set for Dhoni to launch here, what will happen? Will Dhoni do it OR Will Vettori have the last laugh? Stay tuned to find out.

Not really, Shan was doing very well. It is just he couldn't get the game working on the comp where he spends most of his time.

And, just wanted to ask whether that mini scorecard thing is alright?

Mini scorecard isn't needed IMO.

Well I think India is in a good position to launch to an total of 300-330, We just need Dhoni to get going and hit a ton and a bit more, Irfan to play well too.

IMO, the mini scorecard doesn't take away much time as its just a screenie. So I feel you should continue with it. Just post it as "Current Match Summary" instead of "Mini Scorecard".
