Yes,we have seen in the Asia Cup too- Teams have easily chased down 300+ totals. And Karachi and Lahore would definately be the venues for the same here.
Rawalpindi is a bowling track :p

When England toured in 2005, Rawalpindi had scores of around : Pakistan 206, England 190 all out, and in the 2nd ODI played there, England 206, Pakistan 200 all out.

Rawalpindi has had crackers in the past, and I can guarantee it should during the ICC Champions Trophy.

Just to let everyone know about how unsafe Pakistan is, President Musharraf is attending today's Asia Cup Final.

Lets see if anyone kills / shoots him, alright?

Also, icyman - don't talk as if India has sporting pitches. I am yet to see one good pitch in India with a balance between bat and ball, so shut up. :)

I remember the curator at Nagpur got totally shot down for preparing such a wicket in 2004. They were all "oh no! it's a green top!"

It wasn't remotely green, but unlike the previous matches, the groundsman had refused to completely remove the grass as per Ganguly's instruction.

There were some funny pitches during that last Champions Trophy, though. Glueing the pitch together? Hahaha. Good times.

Well Asia Cup went on really well, I don't see why others have problems.

But some teams may be slightly hesitant now...

Zmario what part of Islu do you live in?

I love that place, G10-1, G9-1 and I8-2 thats my hood.

If Australia don't play, I don't see how anyone other than India or Sri Lanka can win.

There is still a big jump from domestic OD to international OD games. From that list neither Smith or Adams took it to the next level.
It's quite funny actually to think that Luke Wright has played more ODIs than the both of them put together. So often, the player's ability or performances are completely irrelevant to the length of their international career.

It does surprise me with Adams, he's an excellent batsman in the shorter form (though not this season), obviously he won't play for England ever again, but he should have been given a longer try, because he is a fantastic player. Then again, maybe they didn't want him in the side because they thought he would get in the way of the captain so much. Being such a fantastic captain himself.

Yeh we get it, you don't rate Luke Wright. You don't need to mention it in every single thread that moves onto anything related to England ;)

Adam's is a top player, the sheer amount of runs in FC and OD cricket is amazing, I'm really surprised that he wasn't given a better run with England. To still be averaging 38 after so many FC games is fantastic, and he really should have been given a longer go in the Test side. I'm massively surprised that he only got the chance to play 10 international games. He's a far better player than that.

Looking at the performance of Australia in the recent series, I think only SL or Pakistan is capable of beating them now...

You what, the same Sri Lanka that got beaten in a home series against England, and the same Pakistan that a depth of world class batsmen, and bowlers. If anyone has a chance to beat Australia in ODi's it's South Africa and New Zealand.
