ICC Champions Trophy 2013 - England & Wales

It's not showing up, because we're winning at the moment, but Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav are really inconsistent. Ishant Sharma barely seems to think, before he delivers.

With the wicket of Malik, 200 is out of hand. All India's to lose.

I can see that run-out inflicted by Kohli again and again. Trust me, whosoever missed it!
Absolutely none of their batsmen progressed onto their starts.:facepalm

Malik is absolute garbage the fact he scored 17 is a blessing, Malik, kamran akmal, amin and shafiq don't deserve to play on the team. Bring back umar akmal, and bring in youngsters to replaced the Pakistan garbage batsmen.

Total revised again. India only need 39 runs to win from 63 balls.

So India win the dead rubber too, and top Group B comprehensively by remaining unbeaten.

Dhoni must be very happy that his services have not been needed at all in the last two games. Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli and Karthik have single handedly kept India unbeaten throughout the group phase. Now onto the semis, hope these guys keep their form. Even if they don't, the likes of Dhoni and Jadeja coming later can score for India and rescue them from tough situations. I am seriously liking the look of this batting order. No change at all needed now. Rohit Sharma should seriously seal that opening spot in the shorter formats. His innings of 18 today was as valuable. It aided the opening partnership of 58. Dhawan and Rohit seem an inseperable pair right now.

Its a good thing this is the last Champions Trophy, extremely disappointing with India winning all three games, they're a weak team all round, rubbish bowling from the Indians and lucky batting from them.

Hopefully they would be defeated in the semis.

Topping the group gives India another big advantage. In case the 2nd semifinal at Cardiff is washed out, India will progress to the final by virtue of being Group winners. Since they will face the second placed team from Group A, India will go to the final if their semifinal is washed out. With Cardiff being under the rain scanner (with even tomorrow's game BTW Eng and NZ under the rain threat), this could be vital for India.

India's 50th ODI win against Pakistan.India has defeated Pakistan for the first time in Champions Trophy.

First and will be their only since this is the last Champions Trophy (to be replaced with a world test championship). India looks very strong to win this trophy.

So pleased to hear praises about the Indian fielding unit game after game. And I would say the Indian bowling has held up quite impressively. We are by no means the best bowling attack in the world or anywhere close to that. But having the best bowling attack in the world does not guarantee you wins. To keep the opposition team in check, thereby helping your batsmen chase targets or defending targets set by them is what is needed. And Indian bowling has been doing that quite well, with Jadeja leading the way. Bhuvi likes Pakistan it seems. Seems to come up with good performances against Pakistan. Ashwin pleasingly picked wickets today, and both he and Jadeja choked Pakistan.

Till now, India are the best team of the tournament so far. But how they handle pressure in the knockouts now will be defining. I have a feeling the services of Dhoni will be vital to India in the knockouts. The man has not yet wielded his power, maybe he might be needed to pretty soon.

Can't wait for the world test championships especially with the great possibility of a timeless test final.
