I think they were always at arm's lenght tbh. The 2004 was a classic, yes, and Afridi played his best ODI cameo in that game, even better than the ones against Bangladesh and India in 2014.

I remember Raina going all guns blazing and getting the RR to below 7. India lost Raina and Yusuf Pathan in quick succession and that is when the game slipped away. It was a great game though.

I think we will see a good match in between Pak and India but I still find it unlikely for Pakistan to do better and win. They lack batting firepower but Amir vs the Indian top order will be something to see espacially in English conditions. He has troubled India previosly in the World T20 and the Asia Cup also. Will be exciting to see.

Dinesh Karthik- the man for the warmups he deserves a spot in the playing 11.I would love to see Dinesh instead of Rahane in the Squad ,the latter has not been in the best of form ever since the NZ series last october just a few good knocks here and there.

Both Bumrah and Bhuvi should play. Before start of tournament I wanted Shami too. He is our best bowler in LO. But in this warmups Umesh is bowling exceptionally well. So, one of them can be left out for me. For the first time, I am happy about our bowlers form more than our batsmen.

Sri Lanka can be a darkhorse for the tournament.Some real young talents the likes Gunaratne,Sandakan,Dickwella and Kaushal Silva coming up the ranks for SL cricket and there is experience of Tharanga who recently played a gem of an innings against the SA last January along Mathews,Chandimal ,Both the Pereras and Malinga.They could be a force to reckon with in this tournament.

After scoring 324, India reduces Bangladesh (no pushovers at all these days, they also recently beat NZ in NZ) to 29/6. Extraordinary bowling from Yadav and Kumar. This is a huge headache now. Hardik Pandya has also fired with a 80. Which bowlers would you pick for the Pakistan game? On the batting side, Karthik announces himself with a majestic 94. Good thing is Dhawan has secured his spot in the XI today. And going by Rahane's double failure in the warmups and the fact that Rohit is the indispensable opener, it should be Rohit-Dhawan to open. I am actually worried about Yuvraj not batting in both warmups. I would like to see Dinesh Karthik play for Yuvraj Singh instead as Karthik has had a great hit out in the middle.

Kohli and Kumble have a headache for sure. And I am actually excited about our bowling. Waiting to see how they perform in the tournament.

Dinesh Kartick like last CT has performed good in warmups and I am pretty sure like last CT he will be flop in main tournament. He just isnt that kind of player you can rely on. So inconsistent, good bowling by India.

Bangladesh are missing the 40 metre boundary. Bhuvenshwar and Yadav have been great, especially the former, who i think might end up as the leading wicket taker.

Agree completely. Plus our openers will be sitting ducks against Kumar.

Indian seam bowling is performing very well although one can say that they got pitches with little bit of juice as compare to the edgbaston. The only way Pakistan can have a chance against them is if we bat first and put 300+ on board otherwise we'll crumble yet again while chasing because I don't expect India to score anything less than 300.
