I think we will see a good contest. Sri Lanka's batsmen have been in form and Pakistan have bowled well after being thrashed by India. SL batsmen vs Pak bowlers will be something to watch.

SA really have a problem in ICC events. The longer this goes on, thr more difficult it would get to have the monkey off the back. India, on the other hand have got out of jail here. I still believe that the bowling is very thin and lacks wicket taking ability if a side can take he attack to he spinners. Remember that Bangladesh play spin superbly and we will need pace to get them out. I hope we manage to get Shami or Umesh a spot in. We got lucky with the runouts today. Otherwise, SA were on course for 280 to 300. SA and Pakistan hav3 made our attack look better than it actually is.

Pandya is a disaster waiting to happen with he ball and Kohli keeps bowling him whenever there is a new batsman in. This allows free runs to each new man in. We got away today but on days like that against SL, he leak a lot of runs.

I have noticed this before as well that when AB and Faf bats together, there is always a chance for a run out. The same thing we saw in our game against South Africa in WC 2015 when South Africa were going pretty well in the chase and they decided to taken an unnecessary run and gift India a wicket.

Yes, I maintain that because they got a point which they didn't deserve. Just because I feel Australia deserves it more than Bangladesh does not mean they can't beat India.

It's just sad that everyone wants to pounce on a statement without understanding it's true meaning.

My digs are more frustrations with the ICC organisation rather than a particular team.

I disagree. If we are going in with a full bowler (not including Pandya), I`d rather have a genuine batsman like Jadhav in the side. Jadhav might be an ordinary fielder but is a superb batsman who should be batting at No.4 in this side ahead of the scratchy Yuvraj, to be honest. Plus, he has shown that he can hold his nerve under pressure in the England series at home. I don`t remember anyone winning us a 350+ chase when we were
I`d much rather have a side of specialists than bank on someone to do a 50-50 job.

TBH, I do agree with whatever changes that he made today in the bowling. Yes I was also very clinical when he went back to Pandya when Duminy was new to the crease and Faf already settled in. However, he wanted to save Ashwin for all the left handers that were about to come after one wicket. Again, I know you can say that he should have attacked with Ashwin straight away since Duminy was at the crease but he just had a different plan.

I also agree on the part that Pandya's bowling is still not very good but he has improved a lot since I saw him bowling in the T20 WC. We do not have a genuine wicket taking options in middle overs but when Ashwin and Jadeja are bowling together, it just gives you that hope that something is about to happen.

I would feel more secure with Jadhav walking into bat at 100/4 than Pandya. We must think of players who can contribute in more than 1 scenario. Pandya`s gun scenario is when we have a solid platform. Jadhav, on the other hand has a good technique and has the knowledge that he can pull us out of trouble when we are in the doldrums. I go with the old school Imran Khan way of selecting sides, opt for specialists.

Going forward, one thing South Africa must do is hand more responsibility to Morris. He has shown a lot of talent but batting at number 7 and bowling as 4/5th choice does nothing to exploit his talent. It's time he chooses to specialise in one aspect. Also, Duminy is a very clear weak link in their team. Phelukwayo looks like a rough diamond with but there are huge doubts over the sustainability of Tahir and Morkel keeping 2019 WC in mind.

This is exactly what I feel. We won't miss pandya in bowling department, but we will miss him in fielding as he is extraordinary. But Jadhav is a wonderful batsmen. A very ordinay fielder, but he can hold his nerves and score quickly too. ! He is more reliable than anyone else ( apart from MSD and VK ). I don't fully trust in Yuvi right now and tbh Kohli is not looking fluent. Dhawan scored in 3 matches, so he might fail in the next match. So, we will need to focus more on batting. And Jadhav SHOULD be in the team.
