ICC Champions Trophy 2017

This is exactly what I feel. We won't miss pandya in bowling department, but we will miss him in fielding as he is extraordinary. But Jadhav is a wonderful batsmen. A very ordinay fielder, but he can hold his nerves and score quickly too. ! He is more reliable than anyone else ( apart from MSD and VK ). I don't fully trust in Yuvi right now and tbh Kohli is not looking fluent. Dhawan scored in 3 matches, so he might fail in the next match. So, we will need to focus more on batting. And Jadhav SHOULD be in the team.

Exactly. Jadhav is one of the few batsmen who has shown that he can keep his head under pressure. With Dhoni and Yuvraj on the wane, we cannot afford to drop Kedar Jadhav. I find it laughable that we are actually discussing dropping him. I`m pretty sure much of it has to do with his fielding and not his batting ability. Also, he is probably the most nimble batsman against spin and does not get stuck against spin. He is more crucial than Yuvraj to this side against the tigers of Thursday.

Watch this. How tasteless!

Was he drunk?
so you didn't watch it till now? He posted this on thursday after India loss to sl .I wanted to tag you for this considering your opinions about latif in game on hai but felt it would be unnecessary.
This video is all around the Indian news outlet.

I just saw it. It's exactly because of idiots like him that there is an India Pakistan today. Without such people, we would be united and I say this with pride and arrogance that we would have bullied this sport for a long long time!

P:S- I'm not defending Sehwag. He's a prick, but he didn't get his hands dirty. Latif has made a proper moron out of himself!

Me too but what was the need from latif to bring communal rant and Sehwag's dead parent grave? This is where i felt it was absolutely disgusting.

meanwhile after today's match :D

@kushal17 @Faizk when he isn't drunk, he's actually a pretty decent analyst.
I don't know why he went this far though. Maybe Sehwag's behaviour angered him too much.

Well done India. That was such a clinical performance against a top quality side. Yes South Africa self destructed today but India pounced on almost all the opportunities presented to them and equal credit must go to them for not letting it up easy. The comeback of Ashwin today really helped us. It also helped Jadeja find his mojo back. Even though Bangladesh is a subcontinental side, I would keep Ashwin and Jadeja in the XI. The only change I see is, trying to bring back Shami for someone (I prefer Shami for Pandya, since our batting is already strong enough for SA that it should be more than strong enough for Bangladesh - a little bit of gloating is allowed here, I say :D).

I was surprised to see our NRR climb from +1.27 to only +1.37 but seeing SL and Pakistan's current NRR, its going to take them a herculean task to upstage India's NRR. Anyone good at math can approximately predict what margin does SL need to win if they need to upstage India's NRR and get to face Bangladesh? I don't care about Pakistan's margin because Pakistan's NRR is radically opposite that of India (-1.584 or something as opposed to India's +1.37) that I don't see Pakistan producing that kind of a miracle.

I am shocked at the unprofessional commentary of Sourav Ganguly. He basically said India will be back for the final. Bangladesh are a dangerous team and very capable of beating India.

Also, is it set in stone that we top the group?

The best chance is for SL to upstage India's NRR and even then, SL has to beat Pakistan by probably about 200 or so runs to achieve that. For all realistic purposes, India will top its group unless a major miracle happens.

So an India-England final is set in stone, basically. A repeat of 2013.

Sehwag is a troll. However, he never ever said anything along communal or religious lines. Why would anyone do so? We`ve had superstar Muslim cricketers and captains. Indian cricket fans never think of the India-Pakistan cricket rivalry on communal lines (esp with India being a country with the largest Muslim population in the word). I thought Rashid Latif, despite his somewhat quirky conspiracy theories at times, was a decent analyst who spoke only about cricket. By speaking of religion, he has made it really uncomfortable. I used to enjoy watching 'Game On Hai' and believe that it is one of the most genuine cricket shows out there (the Star Sports pre match and post match shows are horrible now). However, I cannot now take this show seriously. This is a game of cricket and not a clash of religions, ethnicities or whatever. The sooner we realize that the better.

Pakistani Bowlers + Indian Batsman OMG!

In before Bangladesh bowl India out for under 100 and chase 378 against England to win the CT.

Which means, India should not remain complacent against Bangladesh but England can remain complacent against [SL or PAK; whoever qualifies for SF] since they know they will face Bangladesh in the final?:rolleyes:facepalm

I know it's a long shot and by no means I'm downplaying Bangladesh, but anyone fancy a Ind-Pak final?
