A terrific spell from Lionel Cann has put bermuda right back in the game. he managed to dismiss bell and Collingwood quickly putting two new bastmen at the crease. Along with this Pietersen fell after smart bowling and keeping got him stumped. England now need runs at over 6 an over with the ball spinning. However, theres no long any swing and this should help The bastmen to come.

England need to rebuild quickly or else they coudl lose this match quickly. Cann bowled great and his spell and coudl have had more wickets. Nevertheless the English have it all to do now.
Nick Knight said:
Stunning performance from cann and remember he removed bell who was set and looking to be there at the end, however his poor shot which got him out coudl be a big turning point.
England require 101 Runs

hey tjh1989 , A very good story so far! A very close match, with realistic scores.
I just want to know which difficulty you play on(County or Test?) as I am glad to see at least one close match!

Andrew flintoffs 54 and Jaie Dalrymples 39 help England win by 1 wicket with 2.1 overs to spare. However it was close at the end where England lost flintoff Dalrymple and Nixon quickly putting pressure on the tail. Ultimetly the tail of Anderson and Panesar saw them through but it was alot closer than it should have been. Flitnoff playe brillaintly hitting his 54 with a huge six of a sweep into a big crowd. Meanwhile Dalrymple played a steadier innings hitting the boundaires at vital points.

Apart from the collapse at the end of the innings England impressed in teh final 15 overs. Flintoff was impressive and calm and Dalrymple though lucky at times played well.
Nick Knight said:
Flitnoff is easiyl Man of the Match with that knock, it came quickly and at the right time and he defiently won them the game well done.

Your way of presentating stories is superb. Aided by a good graphics card (which is what by the way?), great captions and brilliant snapshots amounts to a top story.

Great work!

England have won the toss and chose to bat first against Australia in the lats of their warm up matches. England have a unchanged side which defeated Bermuda and Australia are fielding a team which is liekly to be there final eleven in the world cup games. The pitch looks hard and flat and offers to be a good scoring wicket.

David Gower said:
England will look to defeat Australia to gain valubale confidence ahead of the new Zealand Group stage game. However Australia will be looking for revenge after the CB series.
Nick Knight said:
Theres a few English batsmen short of runs and this should be the oppertunity to get some on this great pitch.

England have made slow progress socring just 52 runs in the openign 15 overs. Vaughan looks in fine form but Joyce failed again being run out for just 1. meanhwile Bell has looked settled though hes ha yet to show any real evidence of form. Australia are definetly on top and this next 10 overs could turned the game if the Aussies get wickets.

This is not the start England wanted. They need runs quickly if they want to post a dcent total for a Australia run chase to be made difficult.
Nick Knight said:
Vaughan has looked settled but if he doesnt get support he will get out trying to do something to get a few more runs for his team.

England hade suffered a terrible collpase losing 4 wickets in 10 overs for just 19 runs. The introduction fo Nathan Bracken made thsi happen with him taking 4 wickets with a wildly swinging ball. Bracken currently has 4 wickets for just 7 runs. england still have hope with Vaughan on 36 looking to settle the sinking english ship. However England have alot of work to do to recover this game.

A century from captain Vaughan has put them in healtheir position than at the half way mark. Despite the ton, vaughan had no other support apart from 14 from Nixon and 11 from Plunkett. Eventually vaughan was stumped by Gilchrist for 115 leaving the tailenders who manged to add just 7 runs between them. England wil be hoping for a good bowling performance if they are to have any chance in this game.

Great century from vaughan but he needed support. If someone else coudl have got up to 5o then england coudl have posted a modest 250 easily.
Nick Knight said:
Taking nothin away from vaughans ton but England played terribly there, The next top socre ws just 20 from Bell and as you said david Vaughan needed some support.

Australia require 190 runs
