Banning Rayudu for 6 - 12 months for a harmless tweet is a total overreaction.
He didn't mock his appearance, didn't mock his life style or anything of this sorts. He just made a cheeky remark, sure, maybe he shouldn't of said it, but it does not deserve a ban.

Akila and Dickwella not being selected are shockers! I know that their very recent form isn’t great but prior to being banned, Akila was their best spinner and Dickwella’s aggressive batting would have been very useful on English pitches. Mendis’ selection is also quite weird, when was the last time he even played an ODI? Pradeep over Chameera is another puzzling selection. Honestly the more I think about it, the more strange this squad seems to be.....

Pretty much the expected squad. Amla’s form is a major concern, but Markram is a good replacement if he fails. Wonder if they’d have been better off selecting a middle order batsman over Nortje, although there’s no real candidate. Miller and De Kock need to be on top of their game if this batting lineup wishes to cross 300 though.

Indian selectors said that Vijay Shankar is selected ahead of Ambati Rayudu because he provides the a team a 3-dimensional ability on field. So he was referring more towards that 3D word rather than 3D glasses

I have given away the hopes of Proteas qualifying in the top 4 because they don't inspire that sort of confidence to me. Van der Dussen is a good late addition though

They’re good enough to defeat most of the weaker teams barring maybe a surprise loss courtesy of Windies. I’d back them in a clash versus Australia too. They’d probably be 3rd or 4th at the end of the group stages IMO depending on whether they defeat one of the top 3.

My prediction is they would be 6th

Edit: I believe Pakistan and Windies both of them would beat the Proteas

Ishant Sharma is bowling beautifully at the moment.. should be among the four or five quicks being sent to England. Manjerekar referring to him as the weak link in the Delhi bowling! He must be doing something right for certain!

After his stint in the England county, he has been bowling really well. And after being left off from IPL in last couple of seasons has triggered him in a good way.
