@CerealKiller and @Master Khan I can say this for Wahab : "khata hai to lagata bhi hai". :p and for Sarfraz of course dhoka ni dega

Edit: Short balls still doing damage to Pakistan.

Yes I think short balls and fielding is Pakistan weakness.

Just need to take it easy from here, it still Australia game here, just need 20 more runs from these two.

I`d say Pakistan are the favorites if they can hold on to their nerves and bat sensibly here. The 2nd tier of Aussie bowlers can go the distance. Amir is a good bat under pressure as well! C`mon!

Well Starc just killed all Pakistan hopes haha, got Wahab and Amir in one over.
I think Wahab Raiz should be opening for Pakistan in the next match haha

Sarfaraz now needs to go hell for leather now. Pakistan not using their head. Maxwell still has to bowl an over![DOUBLEPOST=1560358748][/DOUBLEPOST]

It's not over yet.

How rubbish was it for that Shaheen Afridi guy to take a single off the last ball and face the next over? It's the last wicket and your captain is at the other end. I'd blame Sarfaraz also for this. He should've refused the single and farmed the strike.

Well played Australia! That DRS call was pure gold. Stunning turning point!

I have a feeling Asif/Malik will get the axe next game for Shadab.

Australia are also not error free though. That middle order is brittle. You'd think one Marsh for another would fix some of it. Carey to bat 5, Smith 4 and Khawaja 3 with Maxwell to float.

It's over because Sarfaraz got run out:p.
302 wasn't hard score to chase on this pitch to be honest, once you start to rely on your bowlers to bat for you then you know you lost the game.
I still blame our fielding, Fakhar Zaman and Shoaib Malik getting out on zero was also a downfall.

Asif Ali needs to learn how to catch a ball.

So the typical Pakistan Tactic failed which was:
1. Make it look like they'll lose badly
2. Take the game away
3. Let's give it back
4. No wait let's play a bit
5. Alright just give it
6. Nevermind, we'll take it
Step-6 failed sadly. So all's going according the plan so we'll see Sarfraz as the PM in 27 years almost :p IYKWIM
that 2sec-DRS took the game away[DOUBLEPOST=1560359190][/DOUBLEPOST]

Malik and Hafeez will probably play till the last match.

The thing that Sarfaraz did (taking single off the last ball) can be regarded as "air" & nothing else . We didn't knew you are that stupid , Sarfaraz .

If they would've won or not that's another thing . Where is the mental sense ?

And that fielding , well then the story would've been .....

Anyways at the end , all it matters is who won . In a bilateral you play the same team & can rectify , whereas in such a tournament like WC you don't get the chance to bounce back purely .

We should drop Asif Ali in the match and Play Shadab Khan, If he can't catch a ball and batting poorly then why is he in the team?? .. he is not even a part time bowler.

Should've used Shadab as reserve fielder. He's excellent in almost all depts.

I feel for Pakistan. Their first five games comprises of 3 of the best in the world. The one against the weakest, got rained off and in the other they had a bad day. The points table doesn't do justice to the cricket they have played. They've been much better than the likes of SL. Same can be said for Bangladesh.

But, there's a lesson for Pakistan in this. Regardless of the result this year, they should strive to try and change this image of their's. There's no excuse to games like the one's against WI. All teams lose once in a while when they're expected to win, but not like that. They also need to shed this image of "win the toss and bat because hey, we can't chase." The toss was a good one to win and bowling first was the right decision. Sarfaraz shouldn't be blamed for that.

I'm an Indian supporter and I don't know what the result will be this year but I'm fairly confident of making semi finals. I think it spells for their consistency that fans like me can feel that way. I am also sensible enough to know anything can happen after that. But, this reputation and image of "which Pakistan will turn up" does not do justice to Pakistan as a cricketing nation. They can be better than that.

I strongly agree with the promotion of Carey up the order. He looks highly capable of playing the middle overs rather than being a finisher at the death. He possesses the game to play well against spinners and he will definitely have a bigger impact up there. Maxwell, as overrated as he is should be demoted to #6 regular and as a floater to quickly hit some runs.

i think Australia are stuck in a dilemma between Khawaja and Smith batting at either 3 and 4 respectively. Khawaja is only effective in the top 3, and Smith batting at 4 is tad too low.
