I am just hoping there aren't many major injuries before the CWC because of Indian Premier League.

England have the side and they have the conditions in their favor. It would be a huge surprise if they don't make the final and a surprise if they don't win it all. Either India or Australia might play them in the final (I bet on Australia who are surging at the right time, and should also be boosted by Warner and Smith return).

I feel India will stumble in the semis, just like in 2015. The middle order is a nagging block, and will likely pull us down.

I feel England depend too much on their batting. If they score less than 300, they're likely to lose most times.

too early to open thread

no?

Australia to announce squad on Tuesday and they suddenly have a decent amount of options after a couple of successful away series.

Warner, Smith, Starc and Hazlewood should come back into the 15 after missing time (for innocent/not so innocent reasons)

That leaves 11 others to pick and I'd say they need to pick 7 batsmen/all-rounders/keepers from:
Finch, Khawaja, Maxwell, S.Marsh, Handscomb, Stoinis, Turner, Carey. Lynn, Short and Head would be outside chances.
Then 4 bowlers (at least 1 spinner) from:
Cummins, Coulter-Nile, Behrendorff, J.Richardson, Zampa, Lyon. Tye, Stanlake, K.Richardson could be outside chances.

Finch, Khawaja, Maxwell and Cummins are locks, but outside that we'll see what happens!

Pakistan vs West Indies final. Remember this post.

We can even have Afghanistan v/s Bangladesh final :lol:lol

For teams like West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan or Bangladesh it is always early to say something. Pakistan might out of no where can come to win the Cup or may have a shameful exit very early in the tournament. West Indies performance pretty much depends upon the team environment which they create

My top 4 would be England, Australia, New Zealand and India with India and Australia playing in the Finals
