I don't see anything wrong with Inzamam-ul-Haq here. What did he have got more to do to earn a spot in the World XI selection?

His records in the previous year speak for themselves. I am happy he put an end to continously embarrasment of the ICC selectors.

And not to forget: he could have easily gone to Australia and get, for playing one match only, 100.000 dollars. And even if he wasn't selected for the starting eleven, which could happen, as the current events are going he still would get that money for appearance.

But he declined for this.

He should be a respected man !!!!!!

Neither of you have gotten my point and I don't have time to explain.

Shahid u r trying to say , u get a chance just play , inzy is saying , y did i not get the chance to play first ???

You wrote a whole story before and now you don't have time to explain?

I actually wanted to see Inzamam play in the Super Series, but I can't understand his decision.

It's not that sure he is out. Inzamam will meet the Chairman on Tuesday, who could possibly persuade him to change his decision.

But if it is maybe Vaas then. Number 6 in the Test bowlers ranking and Number 3 in the ODI bowlers ranking.

But that won't happen, since they need to replace a batsman. Personally for me it would be for the man in form: Trescothick. He is the best batsman in both the Test and ODI rankings.

But I still think they will choose for Vaughan then.

Good riddins. Nobody wanted to see that fat, cry baby play anyway. The reason he wasn't chosen initially is because he is not good enough. There is no way he is better than Lara, Tendulkar, Kallis or Dravid. And he is not an opener either.

I reckon it's a pretty solid bet Shiv Chanderpaul will get the call. He doesn't have the rather flattering record vs Australia that Vaughan does, but his overall form (both long term and short) is much better.

They're actually starting to run out of batsmen... I wonder if they can ring in Damien Martyn, I hear he's not doing anything...

Vaughan might get a look in given he has performed down under before. And that was when he wasn't captain. Thus he won't be targeted by McGrath :D

Like I said the cricket board tried to convince him to play.
And he will play him. I think the cricket board really pressured him.

Inzamam finally agrees to play

Just look at the records of previous year of Inzamam. They're better then Tendulkar and Dravid in both forms of the game. Don't know about Kallis and Lara, but they should be better then him.
