ICC Under-19 World Cup (South Africa)

STUPENDOUS EFFORT FROM THE LADS! #ITSCOMINGHOME

Ab toh aadat se hi mujhko aise jeene mai.

Trans - Seeing an Indian cricket team lose another final, a reference to a bollywood song Aadat which almost means used to it now.

Ever since they released that 'billion cheers' jersey it's been nothing but billion tears.
Tbh don't think there is too much of fuss for loss U19 cricket considering the history and how well India have played over the years (5 time champions).

Its the excitement of new emerging talents that catches a lot of eye balls rather than results for these U19 kids.

Indian cricket have seen both sides of pendulum where one winning captain went onto to become of the greatest of all time while the other couldn't even make it to the top level (Chand).

With 27% players only making it to the senior side (Indian senior team), the tournament sadly is the only chance for few players to get into a bit of limelight.

A lot of people form my generation will remember each and every players from 2008 edition despite only 4-5 make it to the top level.

How to role-play as an Indian fan:

  • If India wins, claim that it’s of no value because they will inevitably be chokers and failures at senior level of cricket.
  • If India loses, claim that they’re chokers and can only lose anyway.
