Maybe ICC only remembers Gill smashing Mitchell Starc at the Gabba. Gill is equally good against both kind of bowlers and more dominant against spinners.
The CricViz people, who are part of the production team, created the profiles, and they're based on their statistical data.

Says it all.

India have done a great job by losing only 3 wickets. Kohli's looking comfortable so that's always reassuring.

Going by the commentary, it appears that the ball was doing a bit throughout the day, so it was heartening to see us not falling like pins.

Run rate is a bit on the lower side but that's accepted given the conditions. If Kohli and Rahane settle in, I'm sure that will be taken care of.

No no no....... This isn't the @asprin I know. :lol

Btw Kohli's timing yesterday was just sumptuous. I was really surprised that he had scored only one boundary in his innings of 44 especially the way he was timing the ball. NZ stopped atleast 4 boundaries off Kohli's bat, talks about their brilliance in the field.

Virat was looking tentative since Feb 2020 in Tests and managed cross 20s just twice and has scored 50 in both of those innings outside Asia in the said period out of 6 innings. Both of them were dominant innings equally wearing down the bowlers with his patience. That guy has time and again proved that he is special. That's why he is called "The King".

@Bigby Wolf I see your prediction coming true...

Pant gonna turn this around either side ...

Has anyone closely noticed Rahane’s batting stance today? It looks identical to his 2014-15 self. He is clearly missing the balls that he used to edge during 2018-19. A good sign this for the England series if not for this match.

Some luck going Pant’s way. Just in case umpire would’ve given that out it would’ve been a disaster for India.
