Excellent knock from Kane. Nearly removed all chances of an Indian win here by holding up one end. As happens with India, this tail will continue to wag and NZ will have a 30 run lead going into the next innings.

I guess it's a bit early for the captains to discuss setting a target, but if it comes to it tomorrow, I hope they do look to make a game of it in the last two sessions.

I feel NZ missed a trick by not declaring as soon as they were even. Could have been a bold move but would be awesome to see and if anyone would have done that would be these two captains.

We're heading for a draw with the sun out and the forecast for tomorrow has it all day, nothing for the bowlers, and 4 sessions tad too less to get 20 wickets, unless its Ahmedabad.

Not at all. Even if we draw this match I would be really pleased. There are few reasons for this:-

1. India doesn’t win often in Overseas
2. The conditions were difficult for our batsmen yet they played incredibly well until that late collapse
3. NZ were already accustomed to these conditions because they toured England few weeks before this Test and we had almost no preparation against any opposition
4. I would be happy even if India loses because we will get a better chance to beat England in England due to the time we will get to prepare for it
5. Virat Kohli is our Captain

Unless Virat has other things in his mind... Although, tbh NZ might win this match but... the chances of India winning this match seem very very bleak...

Have a bad feeling that India will collapse to 180-ish! NZ should romp home. Its a 6th day test wicket against some very good bowlers. Doubt India can win from here-at best, we can hope for a draw!

That apart, under most First Class league rules, NZ would have already clinched the WTC on the basis of the 1st innings lead! Sadly, the ICC chose not to go this route... They would prefer to split the Test Mace (read: old, existing trophy-not new one for their supposed frontier in their flagship format) and the spoils that go with it!
