I dont have the time yet to do a full analysis but what was Virat’s avg of 25 compared to the other batsmen? Did the entire team performed poorly?

Those 6 tests away, very harsh to judge from and its always difficult for touring batsmen in both Australia and NZ. Vitrat had been the most consistent batsman in the world for well over a decade. Really dont know why you Indians hate the guy is it because you know deep down that he is better than Sachin was, even in his prime!
I did not for once say that Kohli isn't a great player. Also Sachin had a time when he was undisputed so now it's same for Virat.

But your point was that only Kohli and Kane are genuine quality while Latham and Pujara wouldn't make it to their all-time teams so I just answered it.

So based on Kohli having a slump for 6 or so tests abroad you say Pujara would make the best India test IX? Latham averages 42 over 56 tests and you say he is a great player? Look I am done yes cuz your definition of greatness is very low.

You are misinterpreting things now. Latham is an opener who plays in most difficult batting tracks in the world and he is undisputed at that position for more than 4 years. I don't think any opener has done better in the same period. Pujara was never a player whom you would compare by the number of runs he scored. The time that he spent on the crease was invaluable and this is what real Test Cricket is about. Also I am not saying that everyone should play like him but if every team has a player like him they would not just win matches but Test series Overseas!!!

You took the bait it seems. :p

I leant Shreyas Iyer is going to England to play with one of the domestic teams. Good news for him.

Yes for Lancashire. I think getting accustomed to the Old Trafford pitch would help him improve against the short stuff.
More Indian players should play overseas domestic tournaments. Ganguly, Dravid all have paid dividends. I know back in those days, international stars were not playing this much amount of cricket.

NZ have a huge advantage as they're playing a series prior to the game.
They're big players might miss out the test series because of IPL.

Still, a lot of players will be playing in England and that is a huge advantage to get acclimatize.

True! but india will have advantage as their senior players have played a lot in England

Its not the same. Yes there will be the advantage but its not the same thing like being in the weather, getting match practice before the big final. However, it will help India for the 5 match series against England that happens right after that!
