The Crkt 07 Download forum needs some mods, people are just opening random ipl threads with no work done, claiming they are making a patch and doing nothing, that forum needs to be cleaned up.

I suggest some mods like punkS8r is allowed to moderate it as he seems like a good member to me in the download forums.

Good new members will come eventually. Although, on a lot of other forums I've been on it has been great for a year or two and then suddenly a wave of annoying, ignorant noobs come and destroy. One of them I rearely go on now, mostly because you could find more life in a dead turtle drenched in morphine.

The downloads forum will definitely improve once a new Cricket game is released because the older patch makers will probably also return and we'll see new, fresh patches.

Some measures have already started being taken like the new sub forum and we can thank Matt for that. Appointing more mods seems an idea but I don't think anyone would be up to the job of controlling the forum. If someone is up to it then he receives my praises and wishes, because I'll be honest, I wouldn't want to meddle in there. I've already tried a few times explaining to some members but the kind of total negative feedback you get, even without being understood is shameful.

Thats the thing, that type of stricktness should be kept in the downloads forum, as that forum really really needs it right now.

Of course you can, just say that isn't how the forum works, you can't go around avoiding the forum rules and then argue about it when you get warned, it just doesn't make sense. If they don't like it they should leave.

I could go on and on about Hitterman really, that guy has done so much. Note, this is not meant in a positive way.

He was the same person, the HBK, and Pranav has it spot on that it was him who practically destroyed the Downloads forum quality. He had no conscience, no spirit, was a blatant plagiariser and a liar.

Hitty was crap. He was one of those persons who are responsible for the condition of PC as it is now. We all know his exchanging reps tactics

Simon, I don't think I have given any personal insults to him, basically not any unclaimed ones. What I'm saying are not ideas, they're truth. Here's what I said.

And I can back each point.

1. He actually didn't have any conscience. Being a mod maker he should've known the feelings and the emotions others have attached with their patches. But instead, just to get people download his IPL patch or whatever I don't care, maybe to take out jealousy, he went on to complain Rapidshare for taking off blackk or BM's IPL patch stating that he was an EA employee, that they're taking copyrighted material, and also claiming he's the admin of PlanetCricket.

2. He didn't have any spirit. That is backed by the above incident.

3. Plagiariser. Well there are a lot of incidents to back this one, and I'm sure everyone remembers how many times HBK was banned for this.

4. Liar. I don't think I need to explain this one. His biggest lie was when he denied being HBK himself.

Anyways, I'll end here. But just let me tell you, you have no idea of what Hitterman has done. I wouldn't want to disclose this here but you compel me to. He's gone as far as sending a fake email to the admins like the one in vBulletin panel saying that I tried to hack an admins account. I was almost banned when Colin and Matt discovered the truth. If that is justified and accepted, I don't know what's not.

And about the bullying thing you mentioned. I've been one of those telling people that language doesn't matter, quality does. Never have I said that speaking proper english is a must for a good personality on the forum.

I find it funny that people now say that the "Duff situation," is a bad thing. Generally, the moderators weren't too strict, they just wasn't fair all the time! I think good came of it!

I think the strictness should be kept in the downloads forum, for two reasons,

1. These new asian members who aren't particularly good with English need to be educated that "txt" speak isn't good, and correct English is a massively good skill not just for PlanetCricket but also in future life, look at Kshitiz, he'll benifit from his time on PC as he has learned English pretty much to the point where he is technically better than me!

2. These new asian members get a lot of blame for the quality of downloads, and people are probably right. But, isn't it fufilling as a human being to educate someone? Educate them into getting better etc.
