Yeah I explained how ppl can reside outside a nation but still want to play for that nation. Like Anand does in Chess and Amritraj did in tennis.

Also I am not assuming anything about Sandhu and nor am I saying get Sandhu per se. What I am saying is that if there is a pacer in a setup outside India, who wants to play for India, and feels India, then get him. I am not saying buy off random foreigners and have them play for India.
With the pacers we have in our ranks, I really wouldn't mind this either. :rolleyes

One has to feel for Dhawan to be honest ... I am not sure him leading the charge come Feb 15 would be such a great plan. Hopefully Pakistan will still be under the valentine's day influence and show him some love.

We should just unite India and Pakistan together, just for cricket like the WIs, no one would be able to stop us then. ;)

Only setback you would have is the players would more into quarreling between them rather than focusing on cricket.

Money, lots and lots of it can sort that out, and it's really not like the people from the 2 countries hate each other, most of it is just politics. I still hate how we can't have Pakistani players in the IPL because of something the players had no role in.

Ah, well lets just say that when things are good, you cannot see better hospitality than by being a Pakisani in India and vice versa and when things aren't so good, you cannot see more hostility than being a Pakistani in India and vice versa.

You do realize BCCI does not even allow Pakistani players to play in IPL, a domestic competition let alone joining hands with PCB. Anyway, with over a billion population and most of being cricket crazy, it would be a shame for you to even call for assist of different nations to be able to make a world class attack, would not it? Particularly when bowlers of Indian descent are doing well in other parts of the world, Rampaul, Gurinder et all. It is enough to reflect that there is no problem for being 'not sporty fit' as the build of Indians in general are. BCCI needs to think about nurturing their bowlers in better way.

Well we weren't exactly being serious lol.

Yeah but isn't it kind of embarrassing for India not be able to find single quality fast bowler in decades and that on a consistent basis?

It is, clearly the problem is at grassroots level where we poorly develop the kids, hard to fix together something after getting to international level when the basics are fundamentally wrong, we need better/more coaching for kids from an early age with widespread access to them. Easier said than done, but what I do know is making pitches green at FC level is not going to make fast bowlers better, it's just going to create an illusion of them being better when really they're average, I go back to the pitches in Pakistan, not exactly pace and bounce.

the thing is most under 11 - 13 coaching mostly focus on batting and are run by batsman as coaches than bowlers especially pacer. What i have seen is they rarely encourage kids to bowl short , as they want to run the centers injury free. Also lot of times even at college level matches are played on mats instead of pitches and so on.

Like batsman bowlers have to be nurtured young, once they are made you cant recoach at higher level and if you do results would be less, which can even be seen in someone like finn, the natural action has to be cultivated with appropriate tips.

The match has been abandoned due to rain and the 2 points are given to each team
