durrani1 suggested that based on the third test, India would have lost the first and second by gaping margins, too. I tend to disagree because I feel every test match is different. I could well take the same snobbish route that durrani1 took and say the following:m_vaughan said:This isnt the first time that India have blown away the advantage after a good start. India's bowling is at fault here.
1. First test match. India take control after winning the toss and putting Pakistan in to bat. Pakistan off to a dreadful start--5 wickets down for under 50. India clean them up at lunch for 150 (this could well be the only time the Indians managed to seize the advantage). India then go onto win the test match.
2. India's confidence carries them through the second test match without fault.
3. Pakistan's confidence is down in the third and they lose.
Sounds impossible, doesn't it? Guess what--we will never realize what would have happened if the pitch in the first match was a bowler-friendly pitch. Never. There is no point using things that have already happened to try and speculate on things that had their chance to happen, but didn't. There is a fault in logical flow there.
